Well, if the Philadelphia Flyers wanted to make one final plea to Danny Briere that he should consider keeping the group together for the final 19 games in an attempt to get back into the Stanley Cup Playoff race, they failed miserably against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night.
Jets backup Eric Comrie held the Orange & Black off the scoreboard, and while Philly may have been emotional for what may have been Scott Laughton’s final game with the organization that drafted him in 2012, they did not channel that emotion into an A+ effort against the West’s best team.
