I don’t want to alarm you…but Inkoo Kang is on the show and there is a disagreement over the movie we’re discussing. Truly shocking stuff. The movie in question is, of course, Justin Simien’s Bad Hair. Ify educates us on the electoral process by discussing his time as a ballot counter. Drea gives a shout out to all the polling place workers. And Alonso recommends a black and white Hungarian film by Béla Tarr, possibly as a destresser for this hectic week. Plus, we have our weekly ‘Christmas Zaddy Christmas Movie Minute.’ And, as always, we’ve got ‘Staff Picks.’

BOO! It’s our Halloween episode! And as a special treat, we are joined by the hosts of the horror movie podcast ‘Ruined,’ Halle Kiefer and Alison Leiby. At the beginning of the show we pit the “Halloweenies” (Alonso, Alison, and Ify) against the “Horror Freaks” (Drea and Halle) in a series of Halloween-inspired questions. The “Weenies” are quizzed on scary movies, and the “Freaks” are quizzed on NON-scary Halloween movies. After that, we discuss the new Anne Hathaway performance piece, The Witches. And at the end….there’s a little surprise that may terrify or delight. You’ll have to listen in to find out which reaction you will have…..BWAHAHAHA!

Is it better to have Inkoo Kang on an episode where she likes the movie or hates the movie? Well, we’re certainly not going to find out about the former because we’re talking about Charlie Kaufman’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things. This film is a bit…how-you-say….divisive? Listen to hear which side each host stands on. Inkoo also illuminates some very important details of the ’90 Day Fiancé’ oeuvre.
