I see Elisa's story as one of resilience by choice, polarities of life and despite it all, a grounded gentleness woven through.
In this episode Elisa shares her story from her childhood growing up in Australia and the wounds she nursed from a young age, to moving internationally 5 times, her journey to and through motherhood and how it's changed her vastly from the woman she was among so much more.
Elisa has a unique perspective on conception and motherhood that is both relevant and deeply craved by so many on similar paths.
Allow your curiosity to take you through this episode as you receive the medicine in Elisa's story to help you on your journey, no matter where you are at right now.

For my little family, the 2024 energetics have been so different to 2023, the themes of this year have been slowness, sacrifice, devotion, joy and replenishment. Where we are now I feel so much more held that I have in the previous years. It feels internal and also external. Exploring where home is, as an idea feels interesting right now.
In this episode I bring you up to date from where we left off in Episode 95.
A more flowing and magical year that has tied up loose ends and offered a-new.
I mention a few sweet humans and businesses across this life update, I’ve included them and their links below.
Thank you for being here for opening week, it’s been a hoot! If there is something you’d love to ask me, or something you’d love more on, come over to social media.
I’ll be sharing episodes weekly now on a Wednesday morning AEDT.

A LOT has happened in my world since we were last connected, as I'm certain has been the case for you too. It feels natural to share the momentous moments of the last 18 months (give or take) since I was generously sharing with you. A reintroduction to the familiar ears and a big 'hello, this is me' if you've just found my work.
Any great change in life comes with many growing pains, big learnings and of course letting go of a whole lot, all of which were the medicine of 2023.
In this episode I fill in the gaps from when I was last here up until Nov/Dec 2023. From moving interstate, to purchasing an online business that later became a retail store, to moving house and our life in Byron, I share it all here.
Laced with sweet lessons and bountiful gifts, 2023 was *monumental* in forging a new path for myself and my family.
Be sure to stop back tomorrow (if you're listening in real time) for part two episode 96 where I bring you right up to now.
To add a deeper layer and for the video montage of this episode, come on over to Substack (a blog like platform for writers) where I give you a deeper look into life.

She’s here to bring voice to the stories of women, mothers mostly, so we as a collective can heal and parent with intention, community and curiosity.
There is medicine in story and Medicine Mother is the megaphone.
I’ve naturally lived most of my life outside the bounds of what ‘normal’ looks like. I’m built this way and naturally skew towards a road less travelled, and what I’ve learned is with those paths less travelled comes doubt, growth, scarcity, exclusion and that it is built on the foundation of healing my own wounds.
It can feel deeply lonely.
It would be naive to believe that I am actually alone in this though.
In bringing the podcast back to life, I felt that I wanted to shine a light on the paths less walked. Or maybe it’s actually the paths less shared.
I’ve never been able to only project a perfect picture of life.
It’s stupid and boring.
Give me raw.
Let me get dirt under my nails.
Show me the grit.
I want to feel what’s real.
And I want to feel it now, in the belly of my life, not only at the end.
I want to know what matters about life, now.
Not on my death bed.
I know I’m not alone.
Let me talk to the women healing linages as they raise their little people. The ones that don’t have research reports to show their significance, fan clubs and seven figure months. I want to highlight the stories you don’t get to hear.
The women in the trenches of life.
Reparenting themselves while they burn the dinner.
The makers of art.
The ones who moved mountains to build lives that matter, but that only they truly see.
I want to give space for women to tell their stories of living life.
Why they do what they do.
How they burnt it all down and built anew.
What they regret.
What leads them.
Their complexities and contradictions.
Because when we hear story, it gives us permission.
It heals us.
It encourages us to connect to our own wisdom and lead our lives down the paths our soul wants us to go.
When we don’t feel alone we feel braver, more bold.
We make the choices we want to make.
We sit together in the fear and hold each other through it.
And we move god-damn mountains to build lives that we’ll toast to on our death bed.
LFG!
Welcome to Medicine Mother.

Have you ever wondered how to bring yourself back from a stressful event? Maybe you’ve tried to shift the emotional response to a trauma experience from your past, and felt defeated due to the lack of change.
Today I’m speaking with Havening Practitioner Elle Louise McBride and she’s going to help us understand exactly what is happening in our brains when we replay traumatic events in our mind and how we can unbind from their power.
Meet Elle Louise McBride, a force to be reckoned with in the world of NeuroSelf Care. With a holistic approach that blends various modalities, Elle empowers women and young adults to live their best lives and reach their full potential.
As a Havening Techniques Practitioner, Elle is sought after for her expertise and is dedicated to bringing awareness to the impact of trauma and providing tools for release. She co-founded The Enlighten Co. in 2019, offering 1:1 sessions, retreats, workshops, and more to help individuals overcome their obstacles and reach their goals.
Elle is also a gifted writer and speaker, sharing her wisdom and inspiration with the world. Her mission is to help people understand that the root of unhappiness lies in the belief of not being enough, and to provide the tools and support needed to overcome this belief.
At the end of this episode at 50:30 Elle takes us through a Havening process. I share my experience in real time and how it shifts for me through the experience. Be sure to come back to this if you are unable to move through the process in real time, and please let Elle and I know how it unfolded for you via social media.

When I see people with big communities begin to talk about the challenges that conception can carry, I feel a kinship. When Lisa began speaking about her fertility challenges, approximately 8 years in, I knew immediately I wanted to speak to her.
Not for any other reason than that, I had to know how someone navigates what she has, runs a company, maintains relationships and seems to be relatively well.
Having navigated my own experiences with conception and through supporting thousands through the podcast and hundreds through my coaching, I have a pretty fair idea of what it feels like to go through IVF and infertility at it’s worst.
In our conversation today Lisa shares that sparkly spirit that we all know and see through her social channels, but she also allows us to see the rawness of what she has navigated. From the lowest moments, big financial choices, pregnancy loss and everything in between.
Somehow she manages to share the realities of HER story, while also bring lightness, hope and an unwavering resilience that I know we can all learn from.
Lisa launched The Messenger Group in 2001, which has custom published more than 400 books for companies and individuals and now releases 40 – 60 products per year globally. Lisa has authored and co-authored more than 36 books and become an authority in the start-up scene.
Her passion is to challenge individuals and corporations to change the way they think, take them out of their comfort zone and prove that there is more than one way to do anything. She encourages entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and innovation and lives life to the absolute max. With fans including Sir Richard Branson, New York Times Best-selling author Bradley Trevor Grieve, and a social media following of well over 800,000 across the Collective Hub platforms, Lisa’s vision is to build a community of likeminded people who want to challenge the status quo and change the world.
I absolutely loved this conversation and I truly cannot wait to hear how Lisa’s story, helps support you in yours.
I know you’re going to love this one.
To take up the offer for 15% off Lisa's children's mindfulness collection use the code LISA over at Little Love of Mine by 30th April 2023.

If you’ve ever felt completely overwhelmed by the world of astrology, you’re not alone.
In this episode I bring it back to basics with my incredibly knowledgeable and very cool friend Kristy Gray.
Kristy is an Astrologer and Life Strategist from the Gold Coast. Her career started in Learning and Development in the beauty industry, working for the likes of Clinique and global beauty giant Sephora. A passion for developing people and brands blossomed into a 10-year career, but Kristy was perpetually curious about astrology - she was ‘that girl’ in the office who was always asking everyone for their star signs.
In 2018, she found herself sitting in front of an award- winning Astrologer who became her mentor, and instantly fell in love with the stars and how they can help you understand more about yourself to make conscious decisions. Five years on, Kristy has become one of Australia’s leading Astrologers. Through her signature formula, Astrostrategy®, Kristy combines mystical insights with practical tools to dismantle the uncertainty that’s been holding you back. When she’s not stargazing, you’ll find her at the beach, fantasy novel and green juice in hand.
In this episode Kristy walks us through the foundation of our own charts when it comes to living full expressed and aligned as individuals. With her empowering approach Kristy shows us how to navigate the world of astrology with our internal filter switched on.
We explore …
+ Sun, moon and ascendent and how understanding them will give us an even deeper insight into who we are and what to celebrate within ourselves
+ A brief look at the planets and houses
+ Whether you have a daytime or nighttime chart and how that can inform the best way that you operate in the world (this is super easy to grasp!)
+ Your North and South Nodes and how to use these to help you live more aligned and fulfilled
Plus so much more!
At the top of the conversation Kristy guides us to pull up our own natal charts, follow the link below to do that for free, and if possible have on hand while you’re listening.

It’s been 8 months since I’ve released or recorded an episode for The Awakened Pregnancy Podcast and it feels so good to be back, and coming to you from my brand new space in Byron Bay. After a whirlwind 5 or 6 months of change for my little family and I, we have landed so beautifully in our new home and are so grateful for the series of events that have unfolded to get us here.
In this episode I share with you…
+ The story of selling what we thought was our forever home
+ Our experience of trying to find a rental on the Gold Coast
+ How we found and landed our home in Byron Bay
+ What the transition has been like
+ The months that lead up to the move and how we were preparing for it, without even realizing it
+ My decision to stop coaching, and what I’ll be doing instead HINT: I bought a business!
+ The future of the podcast and what you can expect going forward
I tried to keep this episode as succinct as possible, but I’m so happy to elaborate more on anything you’d love to ask. Come over to Instagram and feel free to ask me any questions there.

This week I’ve invited Jacq and Britt of Day One Fertility onto the podcast to help us unpack pre-conception health - with some added info on pregnancy and postpartum too.
With 5 children and 20+ years experience in the health industry between them, Jacq and Brit know a thing or two about nutrition, optimising fertility and parenting! But when they first started out, they too felt the overwhelm and lack of credible resources to truly feel empowered by nutrition for fertility. They value evidence based nutrition, and have combined the science with their practical experience as mothers to deliver you a series of in depth courses in nutrition for fertility at Day One.
My intention in bringing the ladies onto the show was to help simplify nutrition, which I find can be overly complex when you’re trying to get pregnant.
In this episode we cover…
+ What research tells us about how we can improve our chances of conception
+ Why we need to start planning for conception at least 6 months prior (and so do our partners)
+ The 7 things you can implement today to improve your fertility by almost 70%
+ Conception supplementation, what’s actually needed
+ Why our diets are lacking now more than ever, and it’s not just about bad food choices
+ MTHFR and folic acid
+ Simplified nutrition for pre-conception and most supportive food lifestyle for fertility (backed by research)
+ The different calorie requirements for each trimester including postpartum
+ Delicious food ideas to support you to make eating for conception simple
I know that this is going to be a well loved episode for its information and clarity, as well as the easy to implement tools.
Once you finish listening don’t forget to take a moment to leave a five star review on your favorite platform. I deeply appreciate you closing the energetic cycle of giving and gratitude.
