What do you get when you combine a perfectionist with startups so fresh that processes and systems need to be changed weekly, or even daily?
You get a successful mastermind who has learned the hard lessons of launching and learning along the road to success. Sydney Larson is a unique mix of a go-getter, problem solver and surprisingly a woman who didn’t always know how to rock her own company.
On today’s episode, we talk to Sydney about being a startup expert and entrepreneur who solves real problems for women and whose mission is to de-stigmatize women's midlife health issues.
She is the co-founder of Lily Bird, a company providing modern age support for leaky laughs and dribble dilemmas (aka bladder leaks). We talk about her jump from helping other companies thrive to starting her own, and how she dealt with self-doubt, even with her impressive track record of success.
She shares her step by step process of building her business, serving women in real face to face ways, and overcoming the small voice inside of us all that says we can't do it - even when you sell ZERO products on your big launch day.

Imagine having the flu, going to the doctors, and having him come in and bluntly say that you have an incurable disease, you will not live longer than 20 years, you will lose your legs, and your parents should never send you to college because it’s not a good return on investment.
That is how quickly everything in Tracy Herbert’s life changed - at just 17 years old. Tracy was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and given no hope, no uplifting message, no chance of living a vibrant life full of joy and longevity.
Tracy Herbert is not your standard patient, though. The now speaker, best selling author, and diabetes advocate has wholly transformed what incurable Type 1 Diabetes means for her life, and so many of those around her.
She has made it her mission to defy all odds and prove her doctors wrong while raising hope and awareness for the disease.
Tracy has not only survived 40+ years with this disease but thrives and pushes expectations always, including having recently done a solo 3,527-mile bicycle ride across the USA. She touches lives one by one and gives back hope and possibility to those that deserve it the most.

Is it possible to fit in working out into an already busy, hectic, stressed out life?
That’s what we are exploring today with Dr. Mimi Secor, a Nurse Practitioner of 42 years who decided to see if a change was possible for her. Mimi has always been driven and loved to give to everyone around her, especially her patients, but it wasn’t until her daughter confronted her, seeing her mother stressed and frazzled from the grueling work of going back for a Doctorate at age 59, that she realized something needed to change for herself.
On today’s episode, we go step by step into how exactly this a 59-year-old studying for her Doctorate Degree lost 30 pounds in 2 years, gained muscle on her entire body, and began her first ever journey into being a Figure Competitor.
Under the guidance of her daughter, a team of supporters, and with sheer willpower and determination, she transformed her life, her body, and her mindset.
Now she shares with us what that meant for her, her relationship with excuses and how it has made her even more connected with the patients she loves so dearly, and better able to serve them.

Rita Barney is ANYTHING, but your average midlifer. Imagine a woman who wakes up one day, sees an ad on tv for Culinary School, figures since all three of her children have left home, why not, and starts the year-long program the very next day on a whim.
Few people in the world possess this kind of zest and live each day for the moment as a lifestyle, especially as things can sometimes get more mundane with age. Rita is the walking, talking fireball with passion, heart, and an armful of tattoos (collected later in life!), that makes the rest of us look at her in awe.
That’s why we are spending time with her today to talk about how exactly does she do it!? Rita’s life may have started seemingly average, but she has lived anything but.
The previous owner of hair salons, an Inn that she restored and ran as a Bed and Breakfast, going to Culinary School around the age of 50, opening her first restaurant after graduating, and finally settling into her pride and joy - owning Cafe’ Paradee in Oklahoma - This woman has done it all! And she does so with laughter and smiles.
Rita takes us through her adventures, explains why her cafe’ won Best Coffee and how she supports the very farmers growing the beans to make everything full circle.
She also talks about personal life issues and how to overcome them and come out swinging. And if all of that wasn’t enough, she has started a support group for women to come and connect hearts and release their deepest thoughts and hurts. You do not want to miss this episode!
