Pregnancy can feel like information overwhelm at times and naturally there is a big focus on pregnancy and birth and then in an instant you find yourself in the fourth trimester and time and time again I hear women say they wish they’d learnt more about the postpartum before they slam dunked into it. 

This week I am joined by the wonderful Heidi Skudder, founder of @positivleyparenthood is an expert when it comes to the fourth trimester and postpartum prep- partly as a mum of 3 but also having supported many, many families. My Birth Story- Second Baby Alfie

With Midwife Pip

I feel blessed beyond words to be able to share the story of Alfie, my second sons’ birth. An experience that our family made the most positive and beautiful memories, it truly is a day that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. I have an ethos that all women should feel the way I have done when I birthed my babies- strong, listened to, empowered and positive. Every birth will unfold differently with its own unique challenges and circumstances but all birth and crucially your birth can be an incredible experience with the right support, information and preparation. Consuming positive stories can be really helpful in birth preparation which is why I have decided to share both my birth stories. 

14th May 2024- the day I welcomed our second perfect baby boy into the world surrounded with calm, love and respect.
