Happy New Year everyone! We did it. It's finally 2021!
I can't believe it. 2020 was a wild and crazy year. It's definitely one for the books. A book that should probably be titled, "When It All Goes Sideways and Flips Upside Down, and Catches on Fire."
Everyone's been through a lot. But I'm here to remind you, it's going to get better. It may not seem like it sometimes but it will.
If you're new to the show, let me pause and be the first to warn you of my annoying positivity. It's true. I can't help it. It's how I roll and this show is going to be full of it.
To kick off the new year I'm going to talk about getting in the right mindset for the new year. Some things I think you should be aware of and preparing for this year. Plus resources and tools to help you make this year awesome. And it will all be wrapped up with some positivity and a little kick in the pants.

We're getting so close to 2021. Are you ready to start taking action to make your goals reality? Last week I talked with Ron Worley about setting goals. This week, I'm talking with Nelson Tressler on taking action to make your goals happen.
Nelson Tressler is the Founder and CEO of IGOTSMARTER, a goal-achievement program created to help people succeed in every aspect of life. Prior to IGOTSMARTER, Nelson was a top real estate agent, completing well over $1 billion in transactions for his clients and has been named one of Las Vegas' "Top 40 under 40."
Nelson's success and life philosophy come from his unique beginnings. Rape, murder, extreme poverty, and the biggest trail ever to hit his small town were just a few things waiting for Nelson upon his birth. The child of a 15-year-old mother, Nelson's young life started from behind. The oldest of five children and raised in poverty by an abusive stepfather, Nelson turned resourcefulness and tenacity into a life skill. He played college football for St. Francis University and joined the US Air Force on the GI Bill.
Nelson not only shares his amazing story and how setting and achieving goals changed his life but he also shares the steps you can take to better achieve your goals in 2021.
I think we can all agree that 2020 has been a roller coaster none of us bought a ticket to ride. Nothing has gone according to plan. I for one can't wait until the clock strikes midnight on December 31, 2020, and we start fresh with a New Year. Are you setting goals for the New Year? I myself am making big-big plans for 2021. So the next two shows, I'm focusing on how we all can set goals for 2021 and achieve those goals.
The first episode on goals starts with my guest Ron Worley. He's here to help us all start setting goals for 2021 the right way. Ron's no stranger to overcoming challenges to meet goals.
Ron L. Worley, II is a self-made millionaire, professional speaker, successful multi-preneuer and fellow podcaster. He launched his career as a licensed bail agent 25 years ago and went on to open 11 other businesses, create four successful retail locations, and founded the Worley Way, a definition of bravery, trust, family, and freedom. Ron has ridden on the edge and lost everything along the way. From addiction and homelessness that nearly cost him his life, to arrests and heart failure, he has asked all the wrong questions to find the right answers. Ron is real and talks about real issues in his true story of overcoming multiple hardships.
Ron shares his story of overcoming addiction and being in a ditch—twice! Plus he shares advice and resources on how you can set goals to help you find success in 2021.

A PCS will test your marriage, religion, and your sanity. Moving is a hallmark of military life. It's in the job description. Active-duty service members can PCS upwards of 10 times during their military career. All that transition can be stressful not only for the service member but for the entire family. How can you better prepare for the moves you know are coming?
Christine Carol or better known as C.C. Gallagher is here to talk about how to reduce the stress in your PCS. We trade some of our favorite PCS stories and talk about a tool she developed to help others organize and prepare for their next military move—making it easier and less stressful.

If you're a USAA member, you know there have been some big changes to their investments. If you're not, you've probably heard everyone talking about it.
Many people want to know the down-low on what happened and what the future of USAA investments looks like and how Charles Schwab is part of that future. To get all the deets, I'm doing a two-part series with Charles Schwab and USAA to get you some exclusive information about the transition.
To kick off the series, I'm talking with Mary Stork, the President of the USAA Investment Services Company (ISCO). She also serves as GM of Strategic Investment Relationships, overseeing the Charles Schwab and Victory Capital referral agreements and the day-to-day relationship management of each firm.
We talk about what USAA investments looked like before the changes, why USAA made the decision to change how they provide investment value to their members. Plus Mary shares what it looks like moving forward and what USAA members get out of the deal.

Investing in your future is crucial. Spending less than you make and putting it towards your retirement will make life way easier later. But you don't want all the hard work to be wasted or eroded. That's why it's important to avoid mistakes along the way.
