It's no secret within the military community that suicide is a problem, especially in the veteran community. Since it's National Suicide Awareness Month, now is a good time to discuss what everyone should know and do to help with the suicide problem within our military family.
I've invited Garrett Cathcart, the executive director of Mission Roll Call, to have this meaningful discussion. Garrett is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and a combat veteran, having served as a Cavalry Scout with the Army. His and Mission Roll Call's entire purpose is to give veterans a voice on issues impacting their lives. And one of those big issues is veteran suicide.

Welcome to my special Birthday show. Since it's my special day I want to spend it my way, doing what I want. And if you know anything about me, you know I love positivity and humor. And there are no other humans on this planet that bring me more joy and make me laugh harder than my sisters and my brother. So in honor of Lacey Day, I asked my siblings nicely to be on the show.
Since it's my party, I'm going to laugh if I want to and we do a lot of laughing in the show while reminiscing about some of our funniest family money stories. You'll probably take away from this show that we were raised to be responsible for our finances, held accountable for financial mistakes, and taught to live frugally.

Whether you're on active duty, retired, working a 9-to 5 job, or are a business owner, you have a brand. It may not be something that's intentional or planned but like it or not, you're known for something. That might be hard work, a technical skill, your personality, your positivity, or even your negativity. People have an impression of you, that's your brand.

Once upon a time when I was on active duty, I meet someone who was starting a Subway franchise. Since I had just started my career, planning what I would do after I left the military was the last thing on my mind. Not to mention, I knew nothing about franchises so it was like he was speaking Greek to me. Nowadays more and more service members and spouses are moving into the entrepreneurship space to earn a living on and after duty.
In this show, I'm bringing on Giuseppe Grammatico an expert on franchises to share how people can make a living become a franchise owner. Giuseppe is a franchise veteran, coach & consultant who simplifies the process of franchising and excels at guiding his candidates to the business model that best suits their desired lifestyle. His greatest joy is helping people realize the American dream and sharing the freedom that comes from franchising.
Giuseppe shares the background of franchise ownership, how to learn more, and how to get started.
