  • 79 : Mindset Affirmation Meditation 🧘‍♂️

9 months into my dream job I get called into my boss' office

He says my team is going away and I have a few months to find a new job or leave Google

    30 days before the deadline...👇

I have a grand total of ZERO job offers

    This is rock bottom.

If was to survive, something needed to change

    My mindset needed to change

At rock bottom, I CHOOSE two NEW MINDSETS

    1. The world is abundant with opportunity.
    2. I don't worry about doing things right or wrong. I take action, which leads to learning, progress and growth

Everyday, I began to PRACTICE these new mindsets with this simple affirmations practice

    1. State the new mindset outloud
    2. Envision in your mind when this was true in the PAST
    3. Envision in your mind how this is true in the PRESENT
    3. Envision in your mind how this is will be true in the FUTURE

🎧 Link to Affirmations Meditation  in comments 🎧

    Incredible things started to happen:

    - Job opportunities came from everywhere
    - I took tons of creative action like emailing the CEO of a startup

I ended that 30 days with two job offers:

    - one internal at Google
    - one external at a startup (yep, that one)

Check out my profile (+ follow me) to see which one I chose 😉

    That's right.

Thanks to envisioning, I'm about to celebrate 12 years Google

    Heres the thing though:

    - It's NOT magic.
    - It IS using the power of your predicting brain 🧠
    - It IS planting & watering the seeds (ie. affirmations) of the future you want to create 🌱

🧠 Each of us has the power to create our own reality by cultivating our mindset intentionally

🧠 What new mindset are you choosing for 2023?

Listen to Full Episode : mindfulFIRE.org/78

What does it mean to live your life in concentric circles?

Jonathan Reynolds joined me on the podcast.

He shared his “3 Ps” approach to living and working mindfully.

    Jonathan’s 3 Ps are:

    • Personal
    • Professional
    • People

    Let’s dive a bit deeper.

    Jonathan said:

    “

I reserve a time each day where I'm alone

Sometimes that’s reading, sometimes that's meditation, sometimes that's yoga

    Most days it's all 3

My practice ripples out on my family and my community & ultimately the world

As this ripples out I have my family and my community

And then to my culture and my world

If the core isn't strong, if the core isn't nourished and resourced, then the ripple isn't going to actually have maximum, length, distance or impact.

So the focus is making sure that the core is strong, which means that your practice is strong.

    “

🔥 What practice are you investing in to impact your ripple?

  • Spark - Jonathan Reynolds - Vision & "Networking Without Asking"

Listen to Full Episode : mindfulFIRE.org/78

What in heck is “networking without asking”?

Jonathan Reynolds has had 6000 calls in the last 15 years.

On today’s “SPARK” episode, he shares his approach to networking without ever asking for anything. Link in comments.

    Here’s what Jonathan said👇

    Jonathan’s approach:

    “

Vision is where it starts and then everything flows from there.

Ultimately we wanna get to executing on managing this vision and manifesting it.

A lot of that is around networking and relationship building. Talking to people.

Many people don't like networking because they feel like they're always asking for something.

So I actually do something I call networking without asking.

You never have to ask for anything.

You should just be sharing your vision and what you care about.

When there's alignment, the conversation continues on

When there's not alignment, you cordially thank each other and then move on.

I see relationships as the whole driver of all of this.

    “

    🔥 What’s your top networking tip? 🤝
