China-US relations are at an all time low and this episode is a deep-dive into how we got here with Washington Post Columnist Josh Rogin.
In part two of Jill and Mosh’s conversation with Rogin, we talk about how likely a potential Chinese invasion of Taiwan is, how the US might get involved (or not) and where Trump and Biden have done well and failed with Chinese leaders over the last six years. We also discuss some of Rogin’s groundbreaking reporting on Covid, the Wuhan lab and the state of the investigation into the origins of the virus.
Rogin has covered China issues for several decades and has a new book out on the topic called “Chaos Under Heaven.” You can catch him on Twitter @joshrogin on all things foreign policy. Separately, he also has an Instagram account @watchtheramen devoted to his love of ramen and watches.

As we assess the fallout from the Chinese Spy Balloon drama, the Mo News podcast takes a step back and looks into the state of US-China relations with Washington Post Columnist Josh Rogin.
In part one of Jill and Mosh’s conversation with Rogin, we talk about what China’s strategy was regarding the balloon and how it reflects the increasing tension between the two nations over the last few decades. We also talk about the ongoing conversation about Tik Tok and whether that presents a national security threat to Americans.
Rogin has covered China issues for several decades, including breaking news on the Wuhan Lab in 2020, and has a new book out on the topic called “Chaos Under Heaven.” You can catch him on Twitter @joshrogin on all things foreign policy. As we mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we talk to Holocaust survivor Leo Ullman. He was born in Amsterdam in July of 1939, which makes him one of the youngest Holocaust survivors– and the few Holocaust survivors who are still living today.
Leo was just three years old when his family went into hiding in Amsterdam. That’s the same city where another young Jewish person, Anne Frank, was also in hiding.
Leo was raised by a Christian family for 796 days. He’s since written a book called ‘796 Days’ about that experience and his family’s eventual escape to the United States after WWII.
Hear Leo’s incredible story, what life was like for his family before and after the war, why they decided to come to America, and what he thinks about the resurgence in antisemitism and Holocaust denial. And hear the backstory of five missing pages of Anne Frank’s diary.

It has been a huge week for the U.S. Supreme Court as it heard two of the biggest cases of the year. Their decisions will help dictate the future of free speech and voting for all Americans.
One major case involves a Colorado web designer who wants to refuse to work for same-sex couples over religious beliefs. It goes against the state’s anti-discrimination law. (303 Creative LLC v. Elenis)
The second big case this week featured Republican legislators in North Carolina asking the high court to grant them unrestricted power to set rules for voting and elections. They believe they should be able to do so without oversight by courts or the governor. It could dramatically alter how elections are conducted in the U.S. (Moore v. Harper)
Mosheh conducted Instagram Lives this week with Sharon McMahon aka @sharonsaysso, who closely watches the court, to break down the arguments and take viewer questions on Tuesday and Wednesday. This episode features highlights from each conversation.

After the 2022 red wave that wasn’t, Republicans are looking at a very slim majority in the US House and reeling from their second straight failure to take control of the US Senate.
This week we go inside the GOP and look at what went wrong, how the next two years could play out and how the 2024 Republican presidential primary is shaping up (some names could surprise you). We also talk about the state of conservative media and what the mainstream media still gets wrong about Trump.
Mosheh speaks to two leading conservative thinkers—Jonah Goldberg and Sarah Isgur—of The Dispatch. It is one of the most exciting media startups currently out there and is one of our go-to newsletters for fact-based conservative media coverage.
You can catch Sarah’s Advisory Opinions Podcast and her newsletter, “The Sweep.”
Meanwhile, Jonah hosts the Remnant Podcast and writes the G-File Newsletter.

Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) discusses the lessons of the 2022 midterms for Democrats and Republicans.
“The cruelest irony of the midterm elections is that New York was the only place where there was a clear red wave,” he tells Mosheh, noting that Democrats are ignoring public safety and crime worries at their own peril. In fact, Republicans may end up clinching the House because of the seats they were able to pick up in NY on Tuesday.
Torres also talks about his concerns about the close results in the state and why they might mean that Republicans like Ron DeSantis may try to compete in the traditionally blue state in the 2024 presidential election.
Torres, 34, is one of the youngest members of Congress. He also speak about his feelings on whether President Biden should run for re-election in 2024 and whether it is time for a new generation to lead Democrats in Congress to replace Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Mosheh speaks with CNBC Senior Media and Technology Correspondent Julia Boorstin about her new book, “When Women Lead: What They Achieve, Why They Succeed and How We Can Learn From Them.”
In her book, she explains how female leaders differ from male counterparts and why those attributes (including vulnerability, empathy and gratitude) benefit a company’s culture and bottom line. Boorstin also discusses why and increasing number of male leaders are now desperate to take on more traditionally female leadership attributes! She interviewed more than 120 women and men for the book and brings data to the conversation. She also dives into why women are still not making it into the C-suite despite now being the majority of the college graduates.
