NYC tech startup MSP acquisition/growth story

Throughout the pandemic, Electric sought out to be the antithesis of all things “Silicon Valley bro culture”. The company has seen demand skyrocket during the pandemic and actually reopened its Series B round in March and April for added funds from Dick Costolo and Adam Bain at 01 Ventures.

 

Some of the initiatives they’ve implemented this year:

 

• Part of NYTechCares, an initiative that crowd-sources funds, resources, and donations to help low-income students in NYC access e-learning opportunities.
• Partners with The Last Mile, a non-profit organization that provides coding and technology training to the incarcerated population across the U.S., training Last Mile students on coding, general interviews, engineering interviews, and more.
• Mandatory company-wide PTO the first Friday of every month, “No Meetings Thursdays”, and revamped employee review processes emphasizing empathy
