This is the very first episode of Sunday Rise Up — a short and simple Sunday series on the Moms on the Rise podcast where we pause from the busyness of life to look at the spiritual side of health, healing, and hope.
Today we’re asking a big question: Where is God when bad things happen?
When tragedy strikes, it’s natural to feel grief, sadness, anger, or confusion. It’s okay to ask hard questions and to wonder where God is in the middle of the chaos. In this episode, Camille shares:
✨ Validation for grief — why it’s okay to feel sadness and to sit with hard emotions
✨ Six ways God shows up in hard times — from His presence in our grief, to working through people, to the promise of eternity
✨ Stories of light in the darkness — including incredible acts of kindness after 9/11, like the small Canadian town of Gander welcoming thousands of stranded strangers
✨ Scriptures to anchor your heart when life feels overwhelming
✨ Reflection questions to help you notice God’s presence in your own trials
