Episode 34 host Chris Richards sits down with team member Erik Poland to do an in depth dive into their guiding weeks for both the September and October 2023 bull hunts in Maine.
The two celebrate in the overall success of the team but also open up with in depth reflection on challenges they both faced.
Chris discusses the personal mental challenges he faced in September and he openly shares how he knows he missed the mark with his mindset and what really matters a few times during the hunt. The story doesn't end there though, as Chris then discusses faith in God and how he was blessed with a major rebound in the October season.
Erik in a somewhat similar fashion explains his September hunt with nearly instant success and then how he during the October hunt even placed potentially some unnecessary stress on himself before finding a bull in the middle of the October season.

Episode 32 host Chris Richards delivers on a very important message- respectful land use and some key things for people to keep in mind and know when entering the North Maine Woods.
Our host then shifts the topic to address a listener request/question: "What are tips for late season moose hunting well after the rut". So many discussions focus on the pursuit of bulls in the rut so we thank our listener for sharing this request so we can shed some light one ways we hunt during that time of year and some key tactics we would use in pursuit of moose during late season opportunities

In this episode host Chris Richards sits down for a trip down memory lane with his younger brother Justin Richards for an in depth discussion on all aspects of Justin's 2021 Maine Moose Hunt.
The brothers bond over their shared love for the 375 Holland & Holland Magnum before then sharing the full story of an incredibly memorable moose hunt with lots of laughs, challenges and ultimately success along the way. While persevering through some challenging hunting conditions to eventually harvest a beautiful bull on the morning of day 4 of the hunt may seem like the really excitement of the story; the aftermath of getting the moose out of the woods is really what seemed to be the crew's greatest issue.
Tune in for a great hunting story that has an important underlying life message within it: learn to roll with the punches, because no matter what, things ALWAYS can happen.
