  • Episode 115: My New Year's Goals

It's that time of the year again. Where we set goals for ourselves and we try to hold ourselves accountable to complete them by the end of the year.

And you might be thinking, "Mireya, didn't you end your Podcast last year saying you didn't accomplish any of your resolutions yet here you are making more?"

Why, yes, yes I am. Thanks for noticing.

Take a listen as I talk about the 4 goals I have set out for myself to accomplish this year. Goals that I  truly believe are 100% attainable but also 100% something that will benefit ME and only ME in the end.

  • Episode 114: I Accomplished None Of My New Years Resolutions
Yup, I failed this year. . . BADLY.
I had set so many resolutions for myself to accomplish for the year of 2022 and literally NONE OF THEM WERE ACCOMPLISHED. None, absolutely NONE.
Instead of beating myself up for it, I decided to look on the bright side and take account of the things that were not on my list but that I was still able to accomplish. Sometimes I feel that we think we have failed because nothing on our "To Do" list has been crossed off but if we take the time to truly reflect on what it is we DID actually do. . .you'd be surprised.
Take a listen as I talk about the things I had wish I had done and the things that I actually got done this year and let me tell you, you might have plans of your own, but God has bigger and better plans for you.

  • Episode 113: Anxiety Rage
Do you ever feel so Anxious that you just kinda explode? On anything, on everyone, at any given moment in time? Because same.
I feel that there are times where I am so Anxious and Overstimulated that everything tends to annoy me, get on my nerves, and I end up lashing out for reasons that are purely under my own control.
Take a listen as I talk about times where I have lost my cool because my Anxious brain does not allow me to chill out and what I have been doing to accept that some things are truly out of my control and there is no reason to take it out on others.

  • Episode 112: Anxiety & Unsolicited Parental Advice
Doesn't it feel that everyone knows what's best for your own child but yourself? I feel that everyone always tries to give their two senses on how to raise YOUR child.
I have had many instances when I've had people in my life try to tell  me that what I was doing with my child was wrong, or that I should try doing something else because whatever it was that I was doing was being done to their standards. As someone who deals with Anxiety and someone who doesn't like confrontation, this can be very Anxiety inducing because sometimes I simply don't know how to respond to them.
I don't want to correct them yet I also don't want to be rude so I am left just feeling lost and sometimes feeling ashamed.
Take a listen as I talk about certain situations where Unsolicited Parental Advice made me feel extremely anxious and what I am trying to do about it now.

  • Episode 109: You Are Responsible For Your Own Triggers
I apologize in advance because I feel as if I may have come off a bit harsh on this episode but, I had to say what I had to say. You Are Responsible For Your Own Triggers.
Triggers always make us react based on emotions and a lot of the time, make certain situations escalate. I believe that those of us who are trying to heal, we must learn to figure out our triggers and why we are being triggered in order to either not let us react or to be able to think before we react.
Take a listen as I talk about how I've been figuring out my own triggers and figuring our how not to react based on my emotions because I am wanting to grow and heal as I continue on this Healing Journey.

  • Episode 108: My Healing Journey Pt.3
I didn't realize how long it had been since I made an update on where I am on my journey. Although, I do feel that the ending of Season 3 was more or less a very detailed and multiple episode update on where I am on my healing journey now.
I decided to record a part 3 of my healing journey just to give a little recap on where I am now and where I hope to be whenever it is that I remember to record part 4. Hopefully very much further along.
Take a listen as I talk about my current status on my Healing Journey.

  • Episode 107: Grieving Lost Moments While Healing
This week, I felt that I had backtracked on my healing journey for a bit. I felt that I had to revisit many lost and precious milestones to be able to grieve them all over again. That's the funny thing about healing right, it's almost never ending?
I felt as if this part of grieving was to learn to forgive myself. Forgive myself for allowing these moments that I will truly never get back again. These were moments that I allowed to be taken away by selfish, toxic people in my life and as I am working on moving past it, the anger and frustration just loves to creep on back.
Take a listen as I talk about revisiting some moments in my life that were taken away from me and how I am dealing with the grieving process this time around.
