Can you believe we have reached 100 episodes and that Mothering Anxiety has been live for 2 years now?
How incredible, how insane, but also how EXHAUSTING. Although I am extremely grateful for this journey and all the people I have met, all the people I have helped, all the healing I have done, I must say that I am Mentally Drained.
I never expected this Podcast to become what it is, a very live, very public, and very vulnerable healing journey for me. When I first started, I just wanted to talk about how much living with Anxiety sucks but the more I recorded, the more I realized that it sucked because I was letting it suck. There was so much that I could do and change within myself to help my Mental Health and truly it has been an eye opening two years.
Take a listen as I talk about the realities of being so vocal and vulnerable and honest very publicly from someone who truly doesn't open up in real life.
Life isn't about finding happiness, it's about finding peace. For so long, I searched every possible way to "be happy" when the reality of it was that all I wanted was some peace and tranquility in my life.
In order for me to find that, I had to learn to accept my life for what it was and I had to accept that the people that were in my life were going to be who they were meant to be and there was absolutely nothing I could do to change my past or to change them.
Another way for me to find peace was to finally learn to forgive them.
Take a listen as I talk about one of the hardest steps of my healing journey, learning to accept and forgive.
One of the biggest surprises in my healing journey was realizing how much damage I had caused to other people because of my own unhealed trauma. I used to take out my fears, worries, insecurities, and rage out at others simply because I did not know that there was something inside of me that needed to be "fixed."
This goes hand in hand with my episode on "Victimhood," but in this episode, I completely call myself out.
In order to move on and let go, I feel that it is completely necessary to be able to admit your wrongs and to ask others for forgiveness.
Take a listen as I explain one of the most important steps I have had to overcome in my healing journey.
They say it takes a village to raise a child but like, what happens when you don't have one? What happens when your Mom anxiety doesn't allow you to trust anyone with your child or what if you're on a healing journey and cut out the people that are meant to be your village?
Take a listen as I talk about having to raise my daughter without a village because I am a Mother riddling with Anxiety that tells me something bad is going to happen to my child if I leave her in the care of someone else even if it is for a few hours in the day and because the people that are meant to be the village also turned out to be not so trustworthy.
