After three years in the Yamaha family, Cameron Petersen will be getting a fresh start in the 2025 MotoAmerica Championship with a new manufacturer, a new team and a new class. The South African, who now calls Corona, California home, will join the Celtic/Economy Lube & Tire by Warhorse HSBK Ducati team for a run at the Supersport Championship. Seventeen-year-old Owen Williams has gone from kid speedway racer to MotoAmerica Junior Cup racer to MotoAmerica Supersport racer, and in 2025 he will be back for a third season of Supersport racing. And this time he will will have more help with recent announcement that he will be joining the experienced, championship-winning Altus Motorsports. We caught up with Williams from his Southern California home to talk about his speedway days, his struggles last season, his hopes for a great 2025, and battling with four-time AMA Superbike Champion Josh Hayes at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. Bobby Fong has finally achieved a "life-long dream" as he is now a full-on factory Superbike rider. It was was announced this week that the 2019 MotoAmerica Supersport Champion and five-time MotoAmerica Superbike race winner will join Jake Gagne on the Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha Racing team, winners of three of the last four MotoAmerica Superbike Championships, and arguably the most coveted ride in the paddock. Blake Davis first showed up for a MotoAmerica race at the ripe young age of 14 at Road Atlanta in 2020. Polite, funny and tiny, Davis was an instant hit. Fast forward four years and he's now he's a two-time MotoAmerica Twins Cup Champion and a factor at the sharp end of MotoAmerica Supersport races, In fact, Davis earned his first Supersport victory in the season's finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park en route to finishing third in the championship behind heavy hitters Mathew Scholtz and PJ Jacobsen. Brandon Paasch is hopeful that the Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki team has him back for a second full season in the MotoAmerica Superbike wars. Paasch was ninth in last year's title chase with a best result of fifth, a spot he earned twice in 2024. He also made some rookie mistakes and crashed a few times along the way. Welcome to our 300th episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice, and we can't think of a better guest to share the milestone episode with than Rahal Ducati Moto's Kayla Yaakov. When we started this podcast in 2018, Yaakov was 11 years old and now she's a top-level racer in the MotoAmerica Supersport Championship. Yaakov has moved up through the MotoAmerica ranks quickly, beginning in Mini Cup before a move to Junior Cup, Twins Cup and now to Supersport. She's only one step away from being a Superbike racer, which is her goal. Yaakov finished seventh in her rookie season of Supersport racing with two podiums, including a second-place finish at Ridge Motorsports Park. Fresh from off-season knee surgery, Yaakov allowed us to take her away from her schoolwork to chat on the 300th Off Track With Carruthers And Bice.

It's been more than three decades since Kevin Schwantz won the 500cc Grand Prix World Championship, and the man still remains one of the world's best-known and most-beloved motorcycle racers.
