Eymen Ucisik, MD discusses a recently published AJR article aiming to explore the potential uses of MR Elastography in the diagnosis and monitoring of idiopathic intracranial hypertension. It is relevant for the radiology audience since MR elastography may potentially provide a noninvasive alternative to lumbar puncture in the evaluation of the intracranial pressure, although further studies are needed to support this proposal.
