Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of 2 Kings 17:38-39 which says "Do not forget the covenant I have made with you, and do not worship other gods. 39 Rather, worship the LORD your God; it is he who will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies.”

"For a long time, I thought my enemy was a tangible person or a group of people. Maybe people who didn’t want the best for me or didn’t want me to succeed. With time I realized those weren’t my enemies, but simpler things were. Perfectionism haunted me for years. The battle for my self worth was something I battled for years and instead of turning to God I looked to other people, social media, and money for help. 

I pray we are all free from that. I pray that we know that God is the only God we serve and that He can handle and wants to take care of all of our enemies. He wants to put an end to perfectionism, He wants to put an end to social validation. He wants us to lean on Him. 

So let’s do that today. Let’s remind ourselves that He is On The Throne!"

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of Romans 12:6 which says "We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;"

"Each of us have been given a set of gifts. And our gifts will not reach everyone. As I am sure my words may impact some and not others, where Spanish worship music touches some and not others. Where country music speaks to some and not others. But what would the world look like if we all used our gifts? 

How many people could we reach together? 

Maybe you hear these words and the question pops up into your mind, but what are my gifts? I want to pray for you today because you have them, it’s all about uncovering them. Maybe you hear these words and you are afraid. Afraid that you’ll fail. Let me tell you something, if it honors God it won’t ever fail. Failure isn’t determined by the popularity of your gift, if you use it to honor the Lord, you could impact one person and it would have been enough."

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of 1 Peter 6:8 which says "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."

"How many of us know, driving tired is just as bad as driving under the influence. A tried driver can ruin their lives and the life of someone else in the blink of an eye. 

This verse says be alert and of sober mind. Because if you are not, the enemy can devour you. 

Being sober, doesn’t only mean alcohol and drugs. It means anything that can steal your mind and exhaustion can do that. Because in that state the enemy has full control over your motive, your will, and your thoughts.

So today, let’s vow to slowing down when we need to. Lets rest if we have to. Let’s focus on ensuring our minds are alert an sober and ready to take on all that God has for us. "

"Today’s prayer was nice and simple. I wanted to take a breather and remember that the peace of Christ rules my heart. I wanted to remember that gratitude is the best medicine for my soul, and that no matter how crazy things got this season, Christ would be at the center of it all. 

Hold onto His peace. Put on the posture of gratitude, and be present in the moment. Hold onto his promises, hold onto his joy, hold onto who He is, because in that we find the true reason for the season, and if we can hold onto Him this season, we will be all the better once the season comes to an end. "

"Pay attention to the people around you. Sometimes they need help and we understand the language of the spirit. We understand that a cafe con leech in spanish is really just a latte in english. We understand that true love comes from the love of Jesus and not from different partners each weekend. 

Let’s not be rude, let’s also not ignore situations that need our help. Let’s start translating the love of Jesus to everyone we meet. This is His hope for us. That we would spread the love of christ to everyone we would meet."
