Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of our mouth… aka it starts with us. 

We have to be honorable people. People who respect privacy and people who respect conversations that are shared between two people should stay right there. "

"I know our past haunts us, it’s how we started off this devotional series, but I wanted to remind us all before we head into this weekend that we are all new creations in Christ, we are not bound to the skeletons in our closets. In fact, we can clean it out because we have nothing to hide. 

Our past is our testimony in the gracious father we love and serve. 

Our skeletons are our testimonies and we don’t need to hide them from anyone because Jesus took care of them long ago and like this verse says, the old has passed away, behold the new has come."

Everything is meaningless.” 3 What do people gain from all their labors at which they toil under the sun? 4 Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever."

"I hope we are the kind of people who look back at the end of our lives and say wow, I was a good and faithful servant. I took care of my family, I had a blast, I enjoyed life. I didn’t get lost in the riches of this world. Please don’t get me wrong, building business’s is important. Starting foundations is important. Getting degrees, winning athletic championships, all important and vital to your personal growth. 

But let us be generous with what we have. Let us not hold it all in for ourselves. Because at the end of it all, it isn’t coming with us to heaven. 

I hope we are a generous community, a generous community that is present in their lives and in the lives of their family. Let us not sacrifice the riches for the joy of today. Build, but come home and celebrate with your loved ones. "

When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant there, 4 while he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, LORD,” he said. “Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors.” 5 Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.” 

"Today I encourage you to look at what scares you and I want you to repeat the following Psalms. Repeat these words, find a melody to match them and sing the power of his freedom over your fear. 

4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

"A lot of the things we want in life, we might not have. Sometimes it’s health, or money, or a job. We tell ourselves we don’t have them because there is an if only hovering over our thoughts. If only I had more time to commit to the gym. If only I had more money to buy that ticket. If only I had more confidence. If only I had less on my plate. 

My prayer today is simple. Let’s stop blaming “if only” and let’s start doing what we can with what we have.

If you need rest, find rest you don’t need wings. "

Healing can be miraculous, but it can also take time. We all have a battle ahead of us, in our homes, careers, schools, finances, let’s look to our lamp for help in all of these areas. He cares so deeply, because it matters to you. "

"I thought both were valid points and two we had full capability of executing on a daily basis. But I have found that we can’t expand our borders, if we are not behaving from a posture of wisdom and intelligence. 

So let us be intelligent today. Let us act upon our wisdom, let it not be in vain. Let God expand our borders, may we impact more today than we did yesterday."
