Natasha Stott Despoja became a Senator for the Australian Deomocrats at the age of 26. In 2001 her political and personal lives collided with the Tampa affair and then September 11 happening only months apart. As the daugher of refugees and also losing a friend in the terrorist attacks, she describes this time as her most difficult period in politics. How did she manage to get through it?
