After abstaining and walking out of the ND House floor during Rajan Zed's opening Hindu prayer, Representative Jeff Hoverson visits with host Joel Heitkamp about that decision.
"I felt that in the back sitting down was an appropriate way to abstain and to draw the least attention to myself and I was opposed to just sitting down since I'm in the front row," says Representative Hoverson. Other ND Republican legislators also walked to the back of the House chamber, including Rep. Luke Simons, and Rep. Daniel Johnston, and Rep. Sebastian Ertelt.
When asked by Heitkamp if Rajan Zed should have been allowed to say the opening prayer, Hoverson replied with "No I don't think so."
