Just this morning, the Fargo City Commission held their first public meeting regarding the possible 2019 flood and how the city is going to prepare. Mayor Mahoney joins host Joel Heitkamp to outline the city's agenda and let listeners know what to expect in terms of preparations. Recently, Mayor Mahoney declared a state of emergency and for sandbag central to open so that volunteers can fill 1 million sandbags. "We've made great progress since 2009 regarding our infrastructure," says Mahoney. "We need volunteers and we appreciate the help of the community."
