Host Joel Heitkamp visits with Dakota Rudesill about President Trump's recent meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Vietnam. 

"My advice would be to be tough and not give many concessions at all. So far, North Korea is winning. All the US has gotten since the summit in 2018 is thatthey have stopped testing nukes and have stopped testing missiles. We've given the North Koreans what they've always wanted," says Rudesill. 

Professor Rudesill is a professor at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and specializes in teaching national security law and policy. Recently, Professor Rudesill received the 2019 Sidney D. Drell Academic Achievement Award from the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA).

Jeremy Gorden visits with host Joel Heitkamp in studio to give listeners an update about what they can expect this spring and summer for road construction. He mentions a variety of road closures, including the closure of the 52nd Ave S bridge that will begin this Friday, March 1st.

St S, including Veteran’s Blvd and adjacent local street intersections. The completed project will upgrade the two-lane rural road to four-lane plus turning lane urban roadway. Once weather allows, April potentially, crews will start on the underground and roadway project.

Host Joel Heitkamp is joined by the former Bismarck High boys hockey coach Mike Peluso to talk about his recent resignation and why he stepped down. "There were numerous reasons why we did this we never did anything wrong, we weren't stepping down to try and hide anything," says Mike. 

Mike mentions that he feels stepping down was the right thing to do. Recently, the head coaches for Fargo Davies and Grand Forks Red River also stepped down from their positions. Additionally, Mike gives details about what he thinks needs to change to make high school hockey better for everyone.

Host Joel Heitkamp sits down in-studio with Representative Shannon Roers Jones about her bill that would decriminalize small amounts of marijuana. HB 1155 recently failed by just 4 votes and Rep. Roers Jones explains why it's failure to pass the House is disappointing. 

"This is not legalization, legalization comes with it's own set of issues," says Rep. Roers Jones. Additionally, she mentions why decriminalizing certain amounts would be beneficial. "We have people that have this consequence that follows them for the rest of their life."
