Welcome to episode #17. Are you actively pursuing your dreams today? If not, what would you say is stopping you? What obstacles are in your way? Do you have time?
What if you spent 20 minutes a day working on your dreams? Can you batch tasks together to work efficiently and maximize your time? Sometimes it's the little victories in life that can really make your day and give you the inspiration to go back to work on your dream the next day.
The path to success is often a journey of 10,000 baby steps. How do you view money, success, and failure? Is a car a "good investment?"
Do you absolutely need a college degree in order to become successful in life? In school we are taught that failure is a bad thing. But, in business, the opposite is true- each business failure often brings you closer to ultimate success.
Do you know the story of Milton Hershey? How many times did he fail before becoming a huge success? It takes courage to be pursue your dreams and fail before you achieve ultimate success.
If you're dead broke or you are a millionaire, we all have the same amount time available to us...24 hours each day. If you're waiting for "one day" to work on your dreams, "one day" is NOT a day you will find on any calendar! Monitor your mindset closely.
People who go into business often are looking for different things other than the traditional job, pension, 401K, benefits etc. It takes courage to be a "business warrior." People who go to college, like me, can fall into the trap of believing that we are "educated" so people can tell us stuff, because we already know!
But when it comes to pursuing wealth, we often don't learn that in college, so we have to "forget everything we think we know!" It requires a paradigm shift in our thinking. And some people are never willing to do that because of pride and because they want to believe that they are already "educated."
In life, there are arrogant business people, there are arrogant marketers, but academia if full of arrogant educators. You need to demand a certain amount of respect for yourself in life. People learn how to treat you. And don't be afraid to fail. And stop telling yourself that you have to get things perfect. I promise you that you do not.

I'm not a financial advisor. This podcast is for education/entertainment purposes only. You will need to do your own research and accept responsibility for the results of any money you choose to invest. I love using Schwab.com to buy/sell stocks/ETF's/closed end funds/options. Schwab has a very user friendly app/website and their customer service is excellent. I can easily get to speak to a human being whenever I have questions.
