Overcoming Perfectionism: How to Break Free from the Need for Control

Listen Later

If you are a regular listener of The Driven Woman Podcast, you are probably a perfectionist. The Driven Woman is ambitious,  hard working,  strives for excellence and wants to be the best at everything she does, there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours to the day to get it all done, to her satisfaction.

That’s why we are talking about perfectionism again this week.  If you want to go back to Episode #12, The Cure for Perfectionism,  you can get a double dose of pure-DW straight talk on the subject.

The truth of the matter is that no one is perfect and if we apply our impossibly high standards to everything we do, we will be tweaking our webcopy while a competitor beats us to market.  Perfection is costly and the harsh reality is that most of the times, the things we are obsessing over don’t even matter all that much.

Our Pod Praise (podcast review) this week comes from CresnahF (a member of our Facebook group) who writes:

“I've checked if there is a podcast about intimidating women, (as people thought I am), and you're the first recommendation provided by Apple Podcast. I feel every word is talking to me, I felt it in my heart. I automatically subscribed. Thank you, Cresnah for this beautiful review and for supporting The Driven Woman Podcast.   (Cresnah is referring to episode# 35 - “Are you intimidating?” If you have heard you are intimidating, you definitely want to scroll back and listen!)
