In this episode of the Pacey Performance Podcast, I am speaking to High Performance Manager at the West Coast Eagles, Glenn Stewart. Glenn is a very hard man to get hold of but when you do he's an absolute gent! This was an incredible chat with one of the most recognisable names in AFL having been with the West Coast Eagles for over 25 years. Thank you to Brent Rogalski, Sports Scientist at the Eagles for making the introduction and encouraging Glenn to come on for a chat.
Hope you enjoy this episode with Glenn Stewart.

In this episode of the Pacey Performance Podcast, I am speaking to Assistant Professor of Kinesiology & Sport Sciences at the University of Miami, Bryan Mann. It's almost 5 years since I last spoke to Bryan on the podcast in episode 24 and lots has changed for Bryan in that time. He has moved from the University of Missouri to the University of Miami but is still one of the go-to-guys when it comes to velocity based training (VBT). I have used the discussion points used back in our 2015 chat to get a bit of an update on some of the same things. Bryan is a fantastic speaker and I really enjoyed this episode, I just can't believe its taken me 5 years to get him back on.
I hope you enjoy this episode with Bryan Mann.

In this episode of the Pacey Performance Podcast, I am speaking to Cofounders and Directors of School of Calisthenics, Tim Stevenson and David Jackson. I have so much admiration for both these guys as they have built a business that has helped highlight the importance of bodyweight mastery and they have done it in such a cool, fun way. They have both got a great pedigree, Jacko coming from professional rugby and Tim from a more traditional route into the industry but working mainly with para athletes across a number of Olympic cycles. This was such a great conversation around some of the benefits of calisthenics and where it can fit into the wider strength and conditioning programme.
Hope you enjoy this episode with Tim Stevenson & David Jackson from School of Calisthenics.

In this episode of the Pacey Performance Podcast, I am speaking to Head of Performance at US Men's National Team, Steve Tashjian. This is the third time I have had Steve on the podcast and there is a reason for that. Firstly he's a great guy but secondly, he has a really interesting journey and also some great ideas around high performance. For the second time, we spoke about carbohydrate periodisation as its a topic which Steve is very passionate about. His thinking has developed in this area which I am sure you will find really interesting. One of my favourite parts of this chat is at the beginning when we speak about project management which I think will valuable for practitioners of all levels.
I hope you enjoy this episode with Steve Tashjian.

In this episode of the Pacey Performance Podcast, I am speaking to Chief Performance Engineer at Statespace Gaming Company, Taylor Johnson. To get a guest on the podcast who works in esports performance is a first for the podcast and one I have been looking forward to getting out there for a few weeks since we recorded it. An incredibly interesting area that is just going to grow and grow and Taylor is at the forefront of that. I find this area fascinating and horrendously exciting for performance coaches all over the world as it could provide the next wave of jobs for a market that is in desperate need.
Hope you enjoy this episode with Taylor Johnson.

I am absolutely delighted to get Scott on the podcast today. Scott has incredible experience as a player and a coach, and he also holds his UEFA A license making his story really interesting. I wanted to make this episode as applied as possible so after listening you have some real insight into what goes on behind the scenes at Crystal Palace and hopefully that comes across. Scott and the guys at Palace are incredibly open and it shows in this episode.

In this episode of the Pacey Performance Podcast, I am speaking to Lead Sports Scientist at Aston Villa Football Club, Jack Sharkey. This fantastic episode was inspired after I watched Jack present at a Catapult meet up earlier this year ar Villa Park. The main focus of Jack's presentation was around multi mechanical modelling and how he uses this at Aston Villa. In this episode, Jack explains what it is, why he's using it and how this has developed his practice. If you are collecting GPS data at your club, this is definitely one to listen to.
Hope you enjoy this episode with Jack Sharkey.

In this episode of the Pacey Performance Podcast, I am speaking to Professor of Sports Analytics at Victoria University, Sam Robertson. This is Sam's second time on the podcast but this episode was sparked by a thread on Twitter which Sam started around injury prediction. This thread went viral among the sports science community so it seemed the perfect time to get Sam on and expand on the 14 tweet explanation. Since Sam's last appearance on the podcast, a few things have changed but what hasn't changed is Sam's ability to communicate very complex topics in a very simple and digestible way.
Hope you enjoy this episode with Sam Robertson.

In this episode of the Pacey Performance Podcast, I am speaking to Head of EMEA at EDGE10, Dave Carolan, Lecturer in Football Science at Solent University, Chris Neville and Independent Sports Scientist. This is the third monthly roundtable podcast after the release of the Hamstring Injury Roundtable in July and the Youth Football Roundtable in August. The first 2 roundtables have gone down a treat so if you haven't given them a listen, make sure you do. These three guys have got 60 years+ experience in professional football and have since left full time positions in clubs to pursue slightly different ventures. This is an incredibly insightful chat with 3 top guys who have achieved so much in their careers.
Hope you enjoy this episode with Dave Carolan, Chris Barnes, and Chris Neville.
