My LEAST favorite way to learn - the HARD way. Unfortunately I had a pretty rough go recently that left me in a not so good place mentally...
And the lesson that I learned actually was discovered by my wife, Lisa.
We were on vacation in Hawaii a few weeks ago and things were not exactly "peachy" with my blood sugars...
I tried my best to hide it so that it didn't impact the family, but after a few days of extreme difficulty.... They started to notice.
The last thing I wanted was to be a burden to them on vacation...
And it took learning this one lesson to ensure that I got back on track - physically, but also mentally, in order to enjoy life with T1D again.
I hope you enjoy this vulnerable episode.
