Chill Out mixtape, 2012 edition — Divided We Fall — assembles a downtempo soundscape with a clear political throughline ahead of Election Day. This set expands tempos and textures from The Promise of a Better Life, weaving music, sound effects, and spoken snippets to inform rather than preach. Listen with headphones to catch the found audio and commentary, or enjoy the music on stereo for a more relaxed run-through.

Highlights include moody opener material from DJ Shadow, remix work and originals from Gramatik, a haunting Lana Del Rey moment, and instrumental turns from Chymera, Tube & Berger feat. Paji, and Sunlounger. The host intentionally avoids glossy new‑age salon music, favoring a variety of tempos and genres that keep the flow engaging while leaving room for reflection.

At roughly 80 minutes, this Chill Edition is designed to be both an immersive listening experience and a prompt for thought between now and November 6th. If you’re in the U.S., the set comes with a reminder to vote early or on Election Day.
