A man is in police custody after an argument escalated to a knife attack on a SEPTA bus. A SEPTA spokesman says a woman riding the route 48 bus was slashed after getting into verbal altercation with another passenger yesterday Friday afternoon. The victim is recovering and the suspect was quickly arrested by SEPTA police.

At least a dozen people are displaced after a fire broke out in an abandoned apartment in West Philly on Friday afternoon before spreading to neighboring units. Now, the Fire Marshal’s Office is trying to determine the cause.

A 26-year-old man is dead after crashing his car into a tree in Bucks County Friday night. Solebury Township Police were called to a single-car crash on Route 32 near Chapel Road just after 8:30 p.m. New Hope Eagle Fire officials found the man trapped in his overturned car and pulled him out. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
