  • Paris Hilton Vindicated & Sacramento Fire Illegal Fireworks Citations

Utah has revoked the operating license of the Springville campus of Provo Canyon School, the residential treatment facility where Paris Hilton says she was abused as a teenager. Hilton called the decision a major victory for survivors who have alleged abuse and neglect at the school for decades.

A homeowner in Sacramento's Del Paso Heights neighborhood is facing what officials say is the largest illegal-fireworks citation issued so far this Fourth of July season: approximately $100,000.

  • New Strikes On Iran & Andrew Janz’s Home Invader

Attacks and threats around the Strait of Hormuz have created uncertainty in oil markets, disrupted shipping, and raised fears of a wider Middle East war. While temporary diplomatic arrangements have eased some concerns, the situation remains volatile and closely watched by governments, energy producers, and financial markets worldwide.

The criminal case of a man accused of invading the home of Fresno City Attorney Andrew Janz with a knife will continue. Torrez, 56, was arrested May 17, charged with attempted burglary and trespassing. He pleaded not guilty. Fresno County Superior Court Judge Geoffrey Wilson initially granted him bail during a May 20 arraignment.

  • Tuesdays with Terry: Armed Citizens, England Players Viagra, Dollar Tree Freezer& Cannibalism

A study is claiming that armed civilians often stop active shooters with fewer casualties than police interventions. The authors attribute this advantage to civilians already being on scene and being harder for attackers to identify. The findings are presented as support for concealed-carry rights, though the conclusions remain controversial within broader debates over gun policy and public safety.

USA Today reports that rumors about England using Viagra to combat Mexico City's altitude were false. Thomas Tuchel dismissed the claim, while Jordan Henderson joked about it before clarifying he wasn't serious. The underlying issue is real, though: England faced a significant altitude challenge at Estadio Azteca, where the thinner air can affect player performance and endurance.

The medical examiner concluded that Helen Massiell Garay Sanchez died from hypothermia after spending the night inside a walk-in freezer at a Miami Dollar Tree store, with alcohol use contributing to her death. Investigators found no evidence of foul play, but her family is pursuing a wrongful-death lawsuit against the retailer seeking $50 million in damages.

Reuters reports on a study by researchers from Poland and the Czech Republic that explored why cannibalism became one of humanity's strongest taboos. Their conclusion: societies that practiced cannibalism faced significantly greater risks of disease, making the behavior harmful to long-term population survival.

  • Tuesdays with Terry: Newport Beach Riot & FUSD Cover-Up Exposed

ABC7 reports that the Newport Beach July 4 celebrations devolved into one of the largest public-safety incidents the city has seen in years. Police arrested 402 people, most of them reportedly young visitors from outside California, after crowds allegedly engaged in fights, launched fireworks at officers and civilians, blocked roads, and looted a grocery store. The arrests were more than six times higher than during the same holiday period a year earlier.

The California Board of Registered Nursing has recommended license revocation or suspension for two Fresno Unified school nurses — Lydia Chrisel White and Xai Elizabeth Torres — and referred both cases to the state Attorney General's Office following the February 2022 death of an 11-year-old student at Homan Elementary School. The district has since paid a $1.76 million settlement to nurses who alleged Torres discriminated against them, and faces multiple additional lawsuits alleging nepotism and retaliation connected to the same leadership network.

  • Tilly Norwood’s First Film & Paul Pelosi’s Hit-And-Run

CBS reports that Tilly Norwood, a controversial AI-generated character, will star in Particle6's upcoming feature film Misaligned. Supporters say the project demonstrates how AI and human creators can work together, while critics argue it represents a troubling move toward replacing human performers with synthetic ones. The film is already becoming a flashpoint in Hollywood's larger debate over AI's role in entertainment.

Newly released video shows significant damage to a parked Tesla that authorities say was struck by Paul Pelosi, husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in Yountville, California. The incident is being investigated as a possible hit-and-run.

  • Million Dollar Elder Fraud Scheme & SpaceX Vaporizes Hundreds Starlink Satellites

Hanford residents will finally get a look inside a 50-year-old time capsule on July 9. Buried during the 1976 Bicentennial era and displayed outside the police department ever since, the capsule offers a rare glimpse into what local residents wanted future generations to remember about life in Hanford five decades ago.

A major federal elder-fraud investigation received unexpected help from YouTube creators. According to federal prosecutors, the channels Scammer Payback and Trilogy Media helped investigators identify suspects and understand the structure of a criminal network that allegedly stole about $65 million from elderly Americans. More than 30 defendants have been charged.

SpaceX intentionally destroyed 260 Starlink satellites in the first half of 2026 and plans to dispose of hundreds more as part of its normal fleet-upgrade cycle. While the practice helps prevent space debris, scientists are increasingly concerned about the atmospheric effects of repeatedly incinerating large satellites, and a debate is emerging over whether satellite megaconstellations should face stricter environmental oversight.

  • Graham Platner Allegations & George Clooney’s Golden Lion

Politico's report centers on a sexual-assault allegation made by former partner Jenny Racicot against Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner. Platner has categorically denied the accusation, but the story immediately triggered calls from major Democratic leaders and organizations for him to withdraw from the race, putting his candidacy against Sen. Susan Collins in serious doubt.

The Venice Film Festival is recognizing George Clooney not only for his success as a Hollywood star but also for his achievements as a filmmaker, producer, and humanitarian. The Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement places him among the festival's most celebrated honorees and acknowledges a career that has spanned nearly five decades.

  • Trump’s Call To FIFA and Big Tech on AI Jobs

The Balogun case is one of the most controversial moments of the 2026 World Cup. After Trump personally pushed for a review, FIFA overturned a suspension that normally would have kept the U.S. star out of a crucial knockout-round match. FIFA insists the ruling was independent, but the timing of Trump's intervention has fueled a global debate about politics, power, and the integrity of the World Cup.

The WSJ's main takeaway is that the conversation around AI and employment is evolving. While tech leaders previously warned of sweeping job losses, many are now emphasizing augmentation and productivity. The underlying concern remains—AI is likely to reshape the workforce—but there is far less certainty about how many jobs will disappear and how quickly those changes will occur.

  • Big Tobacco Cashing In on Zyn’s Popularity

The Times portrays Zyn as the latest major evolution in the nicotine business. Tobacco companies see nicotine pouches as a lucrative replacement for declining cigarette sales and are investing billions to expand production. At the same time, public-health advocates worry that the products' rapid growth, flavors, and marketing could create a new generation addicted to nicotine—even if the pouches are generally considered less harmful than smoking cigarettes.
