President Biden's first State of the Union was last night in front of an unmasked Congress. He highlighted western unity supporting Ukraine and discussed his efforts towards managing inflation, COVID and funding the police. Reception of the message was mixed.  Mark King, Criminal Defense Attorney, joins the show to discuss "paper terrorism," sovereign citizens and the impact on local school boards.

Several inmates at the Fresno Co. jail were rushed to the hospital by ambulance last night after exposure to an "unknown substance." The DOJ is assisting in the investigation and the sheriff's office has stated that the inmates are doing ok. Criminal charges have been filed against Fresno Police Sergeant Donnie Dinnell, stemming from an incident on Dec. 30th where he allegedly crashed a police cruiser while high on meth laced with fentanyl that he had taken by force or fear from a victim on a previous call. He is on administrative leave. As fighting continues in Ukraine, Russian captives claim they were "sent to their deaths" in the invasion and Ukrainian officials claim they've intercepted messages that demonstrate conflict amongst the ranks.

A Ukrainian business in Kyiv has ditched brewing beer to produce Molotov cocktails in the fight against invading forces from Russia. In preparation for President Biden's State of the Union tonight, fencing has been placed around the US Capitol and the US National Guard is on standby. As part of his SOTU tonight, President Biden plans to unveil his plan to overhaul nursing home standards, including establishing minimal staffing standards for facilities that accept payment from Medicare and Medicaid.

Gov. Newsom issued new guidelines as a result of declining case rates and hospitalizations in CA. Starting tomorrow, March 1st, masks will no longer be required for unvaccinated individuals and after March 11th, masks will not be required in schools and childcare facilities. They are "strongly recommended." Miss Ukraine 2015 has announced that she will join the fight. The 13 Ukrainian border guards on Snake Island who told a Russian war ship to go **** itself, who were once presumed dead, were instead captured, according to the Navy. FIFA, the world's soccer body, and the European authority UEFA has banned Russian national and club teams from their competitions until further notice. This follows Poland's announcement that it would refuse to play Russia in its World Cup 2022 match.
