As Ukraine urged the UN's top court to hold Russia accountable for widespread war crimes, representatives skipped proceedings. Ukraine held a press conference featuring Russian POWs, including a top officer, apologizing for perpetrating genocide. They blame misinformation from the Russian government. Despite crackdowns, antiwar crowds continue to gather in Russia. Over the weekend, 4500 more were arrested. Putin continues his digital cutoff of Russian citizens from the free internet and cracking down on dissenters by signing a new law that criminalizes “dissemination of falsehoods about the use of Russia’s armed forces” by up to 15 years in prison. While drowning in 24m unprocessed paper returns from as far back as 2020, the IRS is looking to hire 10k workers for 80 distinct positions of all levels. Prices continue to climb on all commodities, including food which increased by 20.7% year to year in February.
