Jesus Luzardo tossed seven scoreless as Kyle Schwarber hit his 37th homer as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Chicago White Sox 6-3.  

 

Luzardo's night amounted in his ninth win of the season. He was able to pitch through two dangerous situations in the 1st and 5th innings, avoid the dreaded "blow up inning."

 

Phillies scored their first two runs of the game on a pair of sac fly RBIs by Max Kepler and Otto Kemp in the second inning. Then followed in the 3rd with a pair of two-run homers. Kyle Schwarber destroyed a baseball 441ft to right field, then Brandon Marsh hit a shot to right-center to complete the four-run 3rd inning.  

 

Taijuan Walker starts against Adrian Houser Wednesday afternoon at 2:10. Houser is 6-2 with a 2.10 ERA in 11 starts this season. In Walker’s 11 starts this season, he’s 2-4 with a 3.88 ERA.
