Aaron Nola and Edmundo Sosa lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 6-4 win over the Washington Nationals.  

Nola showed HUGE improvement from his previous start against the Nationals. Nola tossed six innings of three-run baseball for a quality start and only two of those runs were earned. The Phillies righty used 97 pitches in his start while allowing five hits, one walk and striking out six. Both earned runs allowed came on solo homers in the 6th inning. Also worth noting Nola hit 94 with his fastball.

The Phillies' bats backed their starter with a five-run 4th inning. Sosa came up with the big hit, a three-run homer to give the Phillies a 5-0 lead.  

Trea Turner added another run in the 6th with a solo homer.  

Jhoan Duran pitched the 9th and recorded the save, despite the Nats taking him for a double and a single.
