The Philadelphia Phillies come back twice on the Los Angeles Dodgers to grab a 8-7 win and take two-of-three in the series.  

 

Phillies starter Cristopher Sanchez pitched will as long as he wasn’t facing Teoscar Hernandez. The Dodgers right fielder took Sanchy for two homers, a double and five RBIs. Other than him, Sanchez toosed 5.2 with nine strikeouts.  

 

As for the offense, Philly just kept fighting! They tied the game at two in the 3rd inning, then jumped out to a 6-2 lead following a grand slam home run from Nick Castellanos.  

 

Then, after the Dodgers got to Jordan Romano and Orion Kerkering in the 7th for 3 runs, all charged to Romano, the Phillies found themselves down 7-6.  

 

The bat’s were up for the challenge as they picked up their bullpen in the bottom of the 7th. Bryce Harper led off the inning with a double to center, then Max Kepler worked the Phillies 11th walk of the game. Bryson Stott followed with a humpback RBI liner to right that plated Bryce Harper to tie the game. Then Edmundo Sosa brought home the winning run by busting it down the first baseline on what would have been a double-play ball. Instead, Kepler crossing home plate counted as Sosa beat the throw to first.
