The Phillies fell to the Brewers, 5-2 Sunday afternoon marking their fourth straight loss and fifth in their last seven games.  

 

Ranger Suarez tossed six-plus innings of two-run baseball but the bats, nor the Phillies defense could back him up.  

 

Brewers’ starter Jose Quintana allowed eight base-runners through his four innings of work, but the Phillies were only able to muster two runs out of that. An RBI single by J.T. Realmuto and a check swing RBI infield single by Kyle Schwarber.  

 

In the field, Edmundo Sosa and Trea Turner came up small. Sosa had a miss-play that allowed a run to score in the 5th. He had an out at the plate but instead went to 2nd to get a force out and second out of the inning. Then in the 7th, Turner had a grounder hit to him that should have been the final out of the inning, but instead booted it. The Brewers would go on to take a 4-2 lead in the inning.
