Scott is today’s guest and he shares with us his story of building several successful businesses. After 2 decades of commercial real estate investing with his family, Scott McLain joined the world of single family home investing in 2002 with a few fix and flips. In 2003 he and his brothers bought and wholesaled about 300 properties over the following 4 years.

In 2007, he parted ways with his brothers to start a hard money lending business, Red Dirt Lending, and over the next 10 years loaned over $70,000,000. Starting in 2013, he converted the 20 houses he had in inventory from pure rentals to lease-options and was thrilled with the results. Now Scott is building a lease option rental portfolio.
