Fellow WTMJ host Kristin Brey joined Steve Scaffidi to talk about Elon Musk’s post-inauguration speech where he made gestures that resembled those of certain fascist regimes and what Donald Trump’s inauguration meant.

Kristin and Steve discussed the first episode of their new podcast “You Need to Listen” about TikTok and they talked about TikTok further on the show.

Steve Scaffidi was joined by Urban Milwaukee President Jeramey Jannene, and they began by discussing the boat that has been beached near Milwaukee's coastline.

Steve and Jeramey then discussed school resource officers in Milwaukee Public Schools, how MPS is going to pay for the officers and if there would be a board that would “right the ship” for MPS.

WTMJ host Steve Scaffidi was joined on the phone by National Review writer Christian Schneider to talk about U.S. President Donald Trump’s inauguration, his executive orders, his pardons, former President Biden’s pardons and Trump’s other first day actions.

Steve and Christian go more in-depth with Trump’s pardons, his swift un-banning TikTok (as well as the caveats that accompany it), the future of the application, the state of X and more.

WTMJ host Steve Scaffidi began the show by recognizing this day as soon-to-be-president of the United States Donald Trump’s inauguration and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Steve previewed the inauguration by going over the sequence of events.

Steve went on to preview a lot of Trump’s promised policies and what it could look like and started with immigration policy and talked about the necessity of it with a look at border policy with Mexico and Canada as it existed at the time.

Steve briefly commented on the things he was noticing on the television covering Trump’s inauguration proceedings.

Steve went on to go over the quick un-banning of TikTok and the events that preceded it, the national security risks and those who rely on it for business purposes.

Steve discussed pardons both those made by Trump, will be made by Trump and ones made by U.S. President Joe Biden.

Steve recapped the show and gave his closing thoughts.

Steve, Bill and Joe briefly mention the ceasefire deal going on in Israel between the country and the terrorist group Hamas.

Next, they talked about the recent ruling by the United States Supreme Court upholding the TikTok ban in the U.S. which would go into affect on January 19th.

They move on to talking about what was going to be on the docket for the Wisconsin Supreme Court including an abortion case challenging Wisconsin’s 1849 law, Act 10 challenges on collective bargaining rights for public employees and more.

Matt briefly explained to Steve about the chaos going on in the evenly divided state legislature in Minnesota.
