  • PC Panel 12 - The intersection of Religion & Tech
This episode, I've got two tech people @bobcaswell & @loremgibson who are also ex-religionists, joining me to discuss fun topics like Mormon Transhumanism, 'what happens to nose jobs after resurrection', practising Islam in space, ISIS debates on autotune and much more! We spoke at one point about religious expectations of charity, and how in Pakistan banks extract a % from your account automatically. It may have come across as me saying that figure was 10%, but I apologize for that confusion..i think the figure is more like 2.5%? (i'm not entirely sure abt the exact percentage) But here's an article with more detail on that: https://propakistani.pk/2016/06/06/zakat-to-be-automatically-deducted-from-bank-accounts-with-rs-35557-above/

  • PC Panel 11 - Contrapoints & Hbomberguy on 'Engaging the Other Side'
We chat about Social media, Leftist Youtube, 'engaging the other side' and deflecting tactics that cause discourse in general to devolve into nothingness..Enjoy! -----Re: Pinker I think it's totally fair to be upset at anyone who misrepresented him as an open fan of the Alt right, however there's no balance between criticism of that position and the fact that what he was saying was also concerning. Especially being framed as 'Political Correctness might be redpilling America'. People are so blinded by the 'evil left' narrative that they mindlessly latch on to it wherever and don't bother with any analysis beyond that. • PC Panel Discussion 10 - Fascist Feminism
You've heard the Fascist Fashion episodes, now its time for a deep dive into 'Fascist Feminism'. Recently some Alt Right women have been speaking out against Alt Right men who mistreat them and tell them to basically fit the tradwife roles they've all been advocating for *themselves* --Except the Alt Right women's tone changes when those tradrules start being applied to them!Join me, @CoherentStates & youtuber Kristi Winters @KWintie for a closer look at this fascinating, absurd hypocrisy....Literal Nazi Feminists.. (they're not real feminists of course, but its funny to think of them as 'fighting for women's rights' -something they actively oppose- in today's neo nazi movements)actual Feminazi's exist...Who knew! :PHere are some links that were referred to in the podcast:A thread I did on Andrew Anglin's 'style guide' https://twitter.com/NiceMangos/status/941389461111345154Southern's 'why i'm not married' video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-UKPpmQlysPeterson's concerning, confused views on sexuality and consent: https://twitter.com/21logician/status/831020059212541956Peter Sweden & Tara McCarthy agree kicking someone out of a club for wearing immodest clothing is ok: https://twitter.com/classiclib3ral/status/926589230779953153My piece on Faith Goldy being deplatformed from a 'free speech event' by 'free speech activists' like Peterson and Saad http://nicemangos.blogspot.ca/2017/11/free-speech-activists-deplatform.htmlBlonde in the Belly of the Beast clip: https://twitter.com/ViniKako/status/831652516836364288Wives with a purpose vid seems to have been flagged on original channel but here is a mirror: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4Bxfx7trf0*Pls note that this convo was recorded in late December, last year. ---If you enjoy the show please consider supporting via patreon: https://www.patreon.com/nicemangos - without listeners like you, this isn't possible.

  • Episode 42 - Christmas in Saudi
Hi all! Here’s a short Xmas msg from me, sharing some thoughts and memories from my experiences with Christmas in Saudi Arabia. Now of course not everyone living in Saudi had these experiences. There are many bubbles of existence there, I was fortunate to have access to a western secular education. Those of Muslim background who did not, obviously experienced Christmas differently or barely registered it’s existence…as it wasn’t really part of local Saudi life - even the mere acknowledgement of other religions is discouraged there. ---If you enjoyed this kind of thing, do let me know and I’ll try to share personal stories and experiences more often. Happy holidays & Hail Satan<3E

  • PC Panel Discussion 9: Saudi Feminists & The Alt Right
Two young Saudi women (Jay and Sarah) join me for this Panel. We talk life in Saudi, what Saudi feminism is focusing on these days, how Saudi women's voices and causes are often hijacked by the Western right and anti feminists, MRA's, etc. They discuss how they feel about such hijacking and pitting of western feminists against Saudi women.
Surprisingly they seem to know the Alt Right/lite fairly well...they explain why.

  • Episode 39 Mythicist MilWhatHappened?
This Episode Thomas Smith joins me to discuss wth happened at Secular conference Mythicist Milwaukee, where he was invited to interview Youtuber Sargon of Akkad. If you've been following the drama, then you know how divisive and controversial it's been. It's a boiling-over of some underlying problems we've been seeing in movement atheism for a while. Here's a link to his episode on the topic: https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/atheistically-speaking/e/51705112?autoplay=true----If you enjoy the show please consider supporting via Patreon. • The Rightward shift of Islam Critics - A speech for BC Humanist Association.
If you're able to watch this on YouTube I'd recommend that, since with visual aids it's so much better : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ej-biPgGMzEBut if not, the audio works too :) ***I did a speech via Skype over in BC a couple of weeks ago, a big thanks to them for having me. I am posting it on my podcast with their permission. This talk is based on a blog post I did recently: http://nicemangos.blogspot.ca/2017/09/forbidden-intersectionality-liberal-ex.html and an interview I did with Cracked http://www.cracked.com/personal-experiences-2524-im-liberal-ex-muslim-this-my-life.htmlI could just take the easy, rewarding route and be the anti-sjw, friend of RW ex Muslim...but those gosh darn principles, stop me from it :/ So...We had a pretty fiery Q&A session after the talk....which ended up sort of being a good example of my frustrations with both the ex-muslim movement and atheist/skeptic movement in general right now. Unfortunately the call kept cutting during the Q&A so some questions weren't recorded - and some of my responses weren't either (I can tell you though that I do not agree with the statement that Christina H. Sommers is a great feminist, i didn't catch the other name). But the two most interesting and angriest Qs were luckily recorded. I think they are useful to illustrate the very lack of nuance on this topic I was lamenting throughout the speech.
