Dan Williams survived a heart surgery, where he had multiple heart attacks on the table, and went on to achieve top USA ranking as a master’s track athlete, receiving all American honors from the US Track and Field Association.
After learning of Dan’s near-death experience and athletic accomplishments, The American Heart Association published Dan's story, New Heart for Life, in their survivor gallery to inspire millions of people with heart disease to achieve a healthy and fit lifestyle.
Now, Dan passionately shares this experience and more, teaching life principles that bring about change no matter how dire your situation may be.
I spoke with Dan about his heart attack, his training methods, how he became a US Masters Track athlete, and his philosophy on fitness. Dan is evidence that you can reinvent yourself at any age, and you're never too old to choose a fit lifestyle.
