Let’s talk about postpartum nutrition as professionals. This is not a topic that we as professionals are trained on, but we are starting to see a change in this. There are those out there that are standing up and making waves trying to get people to realize the importance of nutrition, especially in the postpartum years.
We as professionals carry a special place in supporting women in postpartum, although there are some that don’t believe it is our job to include and guide our clients in nutrition, I am here to challenge you with that thought. I want you to consider. If not us, who? If not now, when?
Listen in to some of the wonderful guests that I have had on the podcast as they share their experience with going through my Postpartum Nutrition Certification and how it has not only changed their lives and businesses, but also the lives of their clients. If you are ready to start supporting your clients in deep healing through nutrition, be sure to go register now for the 2022 Spring Cohort of the Postpartum Nutrition Certification here.

Our guest Christa Bevan is joining us and sharing about a technique that is used called TRE Therapy. It is a tension and trauma release exercise that was developed to help release stress and tension, it also helps create stress resilience for moms, and people in general. This is a technique that I use myself, I teach my clients, and one that even my children use.
Christa is an expert companion to other radical mothers. She is dedicated to consciously breaking cycles of generational trauma and is sharing how she works to do that in this episode.

So, what happens when you’re a birth professional struggling with PPD/PPA? The simple fact of the matter is, postpartum depression and anxiety can happen to anyone, regardless of the tools and knowledge you have around to prevent it.
However, being a birth professional, you may experience even more guilt and shame when you are the one struggling. You’re likely thinking something along the lines of “it is my job to help others with this, how can I do that when I’m struggling myself.” Corina Fitch experienced all of that and more firsthand.
She is joining us in this episode to share her experience of PPD/PPA, and how working with me helped her to move forward.

Let’s address placenta encapsulation and consumption. I get questions regarding this topic VERY frequently. Questions I tend to get in regards to this topic are: “Is this something that's beneficial to us? Does it reduce the signs and risks of postpartum depression and anxiety? Does this have any effect on my breast milk? Is this safe?”…the list goes on and on. So many women report and share how helpful it has been for them, but it is not always an easy decision to make when it’s something you know so little about.
In this episode, I am going to share with you some science behind placenta encapsulation and consumption, and my overall thoughts while addressing the many questions and concerns I get in regards to this topic. If you’re considering consuming your placenta, or just want to learn more about it I highly encourage you to listen to this episode, then come join us in The Postpartum Circle Facebook Group where you can follow up with any questions you may have or if you have consumed your placenta, we would love you to share your thoughts and experience in doing so!

What do I mean by reclaiming postpartum wellness? The simple fact is that the understanding of how significant postpartum is and how directly it affects our overall health and wellness has been lost over so many generations.
We are seeing this ever-growing need to reclaim and take back what is ours. This need to really become more of who we are in this postpartum period so that we can be the best mom, community member, partner, and friend. Our world is in need of women who are at their very best. And we are not at our very best if we are struggling with being a mother if we are struggling with our health.
It’s time to make the shift, and get the support you need and deserve to reclaim your health and create a lifestyle that supports you in every way. Join 100’s of Women as they step into this space here, Reclaiming Postpartum Wellness Course + Membership.
We can’t wait to have you join us!

Our brains change drastically during pregnancy, postpartum, and while breastfeeding.
Pregnancy brain..... Mom brain..... Baby brain…..
In this episode, Julia and I discuss the many changes that our brain goes through during these transitions, and challenge you to view it in a different manner. Mom brain has been referred to with disdain and frustration because of the challenges it presents. Let’s shift the narrative, and instead focus on the entire picture of "Mom brain". What it is, why we have it, and how important it can be overall. We invite you to further this conversation with us in The Postpartum Circle Facebook group. We'll see you there.
