Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Podcast Network’s Power Two Podcast. On this show, we talk about Big Ten and SEC football…and everyone else. This show is for the die-hard fans and the casual college football fans. After every week of action, we will catch you up on all the major matchups of the previous weekend and look ahead at the games, storylines, and players you should be paying attention to for the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host DaNaysia Jones. Lock in as we run a power sweep through the college football landscape.
This week, we close a chapter. This is DJ and Jordan’s last episode on the Land Grant Podcast Network due to some internal changes. We discuss this on the episode and share where you can find the show after this! In the news, DJ shares an update about the House settlement. The judge is very concerned about potentially 5,000 athletes losing their roster spots once roster limits are implemented. The deadline is fast approaching for the requested remedy for that. In other news, 5 Iowa State football coaching staff members were punished by the NCAA for over $100,000 in gambling winnings from betting on their own teams. We also discussed the update on the Shedeur Sanders prankster.
In the two minute drill, we discuss the 14 OSU draftees. The draftees were: WR Emeka Egbuka (No. 19 by Tampa Bay Buccaneers), G Donovan Jackson (No. 24 by Minnesota Vikings), DT Tyleik Williams (No. 28 by Detroit Lions), OT Josh Simmons (No. 32 by Kansas City Chiefs), RB Quinshon Judkins (No. 36 by Cleveland Browns), RB TreVeyon Henderson (No. 38 by New England Patriots), DL JT Tuimoloau (No. 45 by Indianapolis Colts), LB Cody Simon (No. 115 by Arizona Cardinals), DB Lathan Ransom (No. 122 by Carolina Panthers), DE Jack Sawyer (No. 123 by Pittsburgh Steelers), DT Ty Hamilton (No. 148 by Los Angeles Rams), DB Jordan Hancock (No. 170 by Buffalo Bills), CB Denzel Burke (No. 174 by Cardinals) and QB Will Howard (No. 185 by Steelers). DJ and Jordan share their thoughts about team fits and their favorite picks.
In the power sweep, Jordan shares the up and coming draft eligible players to watch at OSU. They are: S Caleb Downs, LB Sonny Styles, WR Carnell Tate, TE Max Klare, OT Ethan Onianwa, CB Davison Igbinosun, RB CJ Donaldson, DE/OLB CJ Hicks, DE Caden Curry and CB Lorenzo Styles Jr. All of these players may not declare for 2026 but they are definitely building their cases to be high draft picks.
In the two minute warning, Jordan congratulates all 2025 graduates. DJ shares excitement about the return of the WNBA and A’ja Wilson’s recent Nike commercial.
