Today’s episode is a chatty interview with Dr. Therese Mascardo of Exploring Therapy. Not only is Dr. Therese a dear friend of mine, she spent the last five years living in Lisbon, Portugal while seeing therapy clients living in California (yes, her workday starts at 2:00pm to accommodate the time difference!).
We kept our conversation pretty informal, and meandered through a few different topics:
-What inspired Dr. Therese to go fully remote in 2015
-Why she decided to move to Lisbon full time in 2019
-How she overcame pushback to pursue her dreams
-What she’s learned about our profession now that she’s lived abroad
-What our hopes are for the therapy profession going forward
We share lots of giggles along the way (we’re friends, we can’t help it!), and we let our conversation go on a few side quests as we chat.
