  • Five Steps to Take a Leap of Faith on Anything

We can be our biggest limiting block in pursuing everything in life. A life authentically aligned with our heart and defined by our own terms. We get in our own heads, allow external voices to drown out our internal, intuitive voice and then let fears we create to cripple us in taking the leap of faith in everything we truly desire.

In this unique episode, you'll hear me your host Chris Oh as a guest on Facing Fear Podcast with its host  Sara McInerney Hauck. I speak about why we are our own limiting blocks, how to face our own fears in pursuit of all of our dreams and the five proven tactical steps I've created and implemented over and over to take a leap of faith on everything in my past that held me back because of my own fears.

  • How to Reconcile Your Identity Dichotomy & Understand the Luxury of First Impressions

What constructs of your identity define you? What if we told you that constructs of previous generations don't work anymore?

In this powerful episode from our monthly collaboration with Hub Dot, we speak with an inspirational speaker, identity specialist, coach,  educator and the founder of the Identity Dichotomy, Lathi Dube who shares how her passion was born from a tragic loss in her family that led her on a mission today to transform the way we see identity. Lathi says it's so much more nuanced and often we struggle to reconcile our internal and external selves to understand our intrinsic role we have in this world.

Lathi doesn't hold anything back in this thought-provoking conversation about our identity dichotomy, the role of our core essence in shaping our identity (attitudes, values and experiences) and also the role of first impressions. Some have the luxury of first impressions, but how important are they in representing our authentic identity?

  • How to Say "No" Without Feeling Guilty

Why is it so hard to say "No?" What is it about saying "no" that triggers guilt in us. How can we confidently say no without ever having to feel guilty again?

We talk to Julia Kristina, a clinical therapist, researcher, master coach and the founder of the Shift Society who helps individuals break through the crap to live more fulfilling lives. She’s a regular speaker at regional and national conferences on mental wellness and mindset and she says that guilt is maladaptive when we're trying to be something we are not in order to control someone else's thoughts. This can be the key driver in holding us back in saying no to honor oneself and associating our value and worth from our decision.

Julia gets very tactical with us on how to say no without feeling guilty, including the language we use. You'll learn so much more, including:

3:18 - Understanding healthy adaptive guilt vs. maladaptive emotional guilt associated with saying "no"

6:22 - The 'Mother Wound' - the source of so many "guilt trip" experiences

9:22 - How so many of us will choose to do things we don't want to do because we rather feel resentment than guilt

13:02 - What is true generosity. And, why the better we are with our boundaries, we are more generous.

16:05 - How having healthy boundaries makes us more flexible.

18:53 - What is real self love and how loving yourself is the least selfish thing you can do.

21:25 - Tactical steps to say "No" without feeling guilty

21:40 - First, separate not liking your decision from your value and worth

22:17 - Why we can't say no without feeling guilty - we want other people to think a certain way so we can feel okay.

22:44 - How to honor relationships when saying "no"

25:40 - Why you don't need to explain yourself too much when saying "no"

31:25 - Why it's superfluous to preface your "no" with "I'm sorry"

32:02 - How saying "sorry" when saying "no" is more for yourself so you don't feel guilty

34:51 - How to determine what you really want to say if you're vacillating between the "yes" and "no"

43:30 - Julia's one piece of advice to her younger self to live fully in the present and always on her own terms
