Russ Harris is one of my favourite ACT practitioners. He has a couple books (The Happiness Trap is a goodie) and has a bunch of free resources and scripts here: https://thehappinesstrap.com/upimages/2007%20Introductory%20ACT%20Workshop%20Handout%20-%20%20Russ%20Harris.pdf
Heres a link to Neff’s Self-Compassion website (with exercises of course!): https://self-compassion.org/category/exercises/

This episode of Psych Stuff with Laura looks at HABITS!
We all strive to form better habits, but we often get stuck in doing what we’ve always done, what is easy, and then we get frustrated with ourselves!
So I’ll be discussing the three steps to habit formation and what you want to avoid so you don’t end up in a cycle of self-sabotage.
I make mention as well about The Four Tendencies by Gretchen Rubin. She’s a writer, researcher, and influencer in America (not sure if she’s a psychologist or not) who has studied habits and happiness for years. She has a free quiz online which will help you work out, based on your personality, what tendency you have, and how this relates to habit formation. Check out the quiz here: https://quiz.gretchenrubin.com

We use the terms interchangeably, but there is a difference between the two! In this episode, I'll talk to you about a few different things you can do to address both stress and anxiety, and as an added bonus, you'll get to hear the silly things my brain tells me, because I am NOT IMMUNE to anxiety at all! In fact, I'd say I'm a bit of a stress-head, prone to anxiety, and have a huge fear of judgement.

In this episode, I give you the nuts and bolts of CBT. What it is, what it involves, and some examples.
Any questions, as always, reach out on my socials!
Episode 3 is all about what you can expect from the first session you have with a psychologist. From the booking process, to the types of things we cover in session 1. Nothing scary, crazy, and no medical intervention (Psychologists aren't medical practitioners).
In this episode I discuss the types of clients we (psychologist) often see - and no, you don't need to be "crazy" to benefit. In fact, seeing a psychologist can be part of your ongoing health and well-being routine. I also discuss a few different things you may want to consider when selecting a psychologist.

Probably not...but maybe.
