On this episode I'm joined by Martin Smith who is the founder of Talent Drive which is a specialist agency Martin recently started that serves the supply chain and procurement market.
Martin's really early on in his agency journey but has been working in recruitment for a decade.
We really dive into his experience going from agency recruitment to internal recruitment to now starting his very own recruitment agency.
What I loved about Martin's approach to recruitment was his mindset and how important being authentic was to him.
There is loads in this conversation people can learn from so I'm really excited to share it with you all.

I'm so excited to share this episode with you all, on the 6th of November we hosted the very FIRST Recruitment Rollercoaster LIVE event in London.
I was slightly worried about the audio being good enough quality to share as an episode however it has come out great.
You will hear 10 minutes from me on the story of the podcast so far and then you will hear a brilliant panel discussion with James Dean, Anila Choudhury & Tony Bates.
This is going to be the first of many events for the podcast so if you didn't get to go this time, you enjoy what you hear then make sure you get yourself to the next one!!
As I mentioned in the intro, I would love your help to get #RecruitmentRollercoasterLIVE in front of many people as possible and to get your feedback.
If you enjoy this episode, what did you enjoy about it, what did you learn and what would you have asked the panelists?
Share this with a post on Linkedin, tag me, tag the panelists and use the #RecruitmentRollercoasterLIVE.
QUICK FIRE question round with The Recruitment Rollercoaster guests on the topic of The Future of Recruitment.
Stephen Joseph shared his thoughts on his perspective on what the future of Recruitment looks like.
The questions I asked Stephen were the following:
Do you think recruiters will ever become obsolete?... why?”
Recruitment has evolved a lot since its inception, what do you think has been the biggest change to the recruitment industry?
What do you think the most successful recruiters need to do to stay relevant?
What are the tools and technologies you've adopted and applied to your recruitment processes?
How do you see technology and innovation affecting the recruitment landscape in the next 10 years?

This week I'm joined by Emma Lowman from Salt who is a Business Development Manager for their EMEA & USA Division.
Safe to say Emma approaches Recruitment in her own way and is not afraid to be herself, which I think is a big reason as to how she has had a long successful career at Salt.
Climbing the ranks from principal consultant to now business development manager.
We have a real long chat about her experience with Business Development and how she has continued to really master her BD craft.
Plus we discuss what the real opportunities are in the USA right now with Emma working both the UK, EU & USA market.

This week I'm joined by Stephen Joseph who is currently a Business Manager for Teach Active in London.
He is also the author of Secure, Survive & Thrive which is a book he has written to share his abundance of experience having worked in the industry for nearly a decade.
I absolutely loved Stephens optimism towards recruitment, he really has taken the time to learn his trade and grabbed his career by the scruff of the neck.
We really breakdown how he has managed to build a high performing recruitment team and how he has enabled to get the best out of his people.
I think it's amazing that Stephen has taken his own time to write his very first book with the simple mission of helping more people in Recruitment.
As explained on this episode if you want to get your hands on his book then you can grab the Kindle version for free for the next two days, here is the link:

Ladies & Gents this week I'm joined by Reece Warren from Few & Far on the podcast.
Reece has worked within the Recruitment Industry for three and a half years with one agency that has recently rebranded as Few & Far.
We really have an open, honest and frank conversation around Reece's journey in Recruitment which has definitely not been straightforward.
However Reece has continued to learn from his failures, approach recruitment in his own way, double down on building a community within his market and just doing the right thing by people!
The Tech Market is extremely competitive so the community building has massively helped Reece stand out a long with Reece being one of the founding members of a tech meetup that gives real value to his market.
Enjoy the episode, feedback is always welcome so please get in touch with me if you want me to cover certain topics with future guests that you would really benefit from.

Final question, best reason you have heard from a candidate who couldn’t make an interview?
