This week I'm joined by Alex Stone who is the USA Director for Orbis Consultants.
Alex has worked in Recruitment for nearly 10 years and for the last couple of years he has taken his Recruitment career to the USA.
He now lives in Brooklyn and is building out the USA arm for Orbis Consultants.
We really break down how he built his America desk for 2 years in the UK before moving over to the states and what you should seriously be thinking about if you're considering a move to America.
I thought it was really interesting to hear more about the different nuances that Recruiters face when operating within the American market, with the fees being higher and the reputation of a Recruiter being in a more positive light it genuinely sounds like an amazing opportunity to take your recruitment skills stateside!
Enjoy the episode, feedback is always welcome so please get in touch with me if you want me to cover certain topics with future guests that you would really benefit from.

This week I'm joined by Jack Prior who is a Tech Recruiter for Redcat Digital.
Jack went straight into Recruitment after graduating, after a pretty shit experience when interviewing for recruitment jobs he has really found his feet in the last 3 years.
It's safe to say Jack doesn't fit the typical 'Recruiter' persona, he has approached recruiting in his own way which doesn't involve smashing the phones but focused on being perceived as someone who is part of the community he serves.
We really break down the methods he uses as a Tech recruiter to generate his billings which is predominantly built of Jack receiving most of his business through referrals.
With the Tech market being one of the most saturated recruitment landscapes I think those who operate in this market will get some serious value from this episode!!
We really dive into the Tech vertical but plenty to take from this conversation if you don't operate in the tech world.
Enjoy the episode, feedback is always welcome so please get in touch with me if you want me to cover certain topics with future guests that you would really benefit from.

This week I'm joined by Andrew McGregor who is the Managing Director of an Australian based recruitment agency called Design & Build.
Andrew has had two jobs in recruitment over the last 13 years & has only worked in two markets, the UK market and the AUS market.
I absolutely loved Andrew's take on recruitment which is all predicated on building as much trust with your colleagues, clients and candidates.
We really dive into how Andrew has built an amazing personal brand, the challenges he faced when moving over to the AUS market, the adjustments he made moving from contract to perm & much more!
It was great to get an Australian based recruiters perspective on the world of recruitment, more of this to come.

This week I'm joined by April Turner who currently works for the brilliant Wiser who are part employer branding agency & part recruitment agency.
April has worked in recruitment for nearly 5 years and we have a really open conversation about her journey so far.
For the first time EVER on the show April told me how she was 'born into recruitment' which I thought was brilliant.
April hasn't had a straight forward journey on her recruitment career however she has continued to learn, get better at handling the shit times and has actively built a brand that is helping her give more value to people in her market.
We dived into everything from how she built her recruitment desk, handling depression, hosting events, personal branding and so much more.
