The Red Sox (25-25) clinched the series over the Mets with a (2-0) win Tuesday night at Fenway. The Sox have won the 1st 2 games of the series and will go for the sweep Wednesday night with Garrett Crochet scheduled to make the start. The Sox have won 3 of 4 and are at .500 for the 11th time this season.

Buehler's Back!: Walker Buehler made his return to the rotation and made his 1st start in May Tuesday night. He didn't last long after getting tossed by home plate umpire Mike Estabrook.  Alex Cora was also ejected by Estabrook. Buehler went 2.1 scoreless. Buehler did not a hit, walked 2 and struck out 4.  Red Sox are 2-7 in the game prior to Crochet's start.

Tip of the Cap to the Pen: With Buehler's early ejection, the Red Sox relievers combined for 6.2 scoreless innings. Aroldis Chapman worked a 1-2-3 9th for his 8th save and 2nd in 2 games. 4 Red Sox relievers combined for 4.1 scoreless innings (3 singles, 2 walks & 5 strikeouts) in Monday night's opener.

Bombs Away: The game was scoreless going to the Bottom of the 6th and that's when the Sox got on the board with 2 big swings. Carlos Narvaez hit his 5th Home Run of the season to give the Sox a 1-0 lead and 2 hitters later Rafael Devers made it 2-0 with his 10th Home Run.  Both homers cleared the Green Monster.  Devers Home Run was his 3rd in 3 games and 5th in May.  51 HR in last 34 Games.

#'s of the Day: After sitting the previous 2 games, Kristian Campbell returned to the lineup and started in centerfield. Campbell went (0-for-3) and is (4-for-50) with 3 RBIs in 12 games during the month of May.  The combined shutout was the 3rd of the season for the Red Sox pitching staff.

What's On Tap?: The Red Sox conclude their only series of the season with the Mets Wednesday night at Fenway.  Tylor MeGill and Garrett Crochet are the probable starting pitchers for the series finale. The Red Sox will begin a 4-game series with the Orioles on Thursday.  Baltimore parted ways with manager Brandon Hyde over the weekend.
