The Red Sox (41-43) put an end to their season-high 6-game losing streak by thumping the Blue Jays 15-1 Saturday afternoon at Fenway Park. The series is even a 1-1 with the finale on Sunday afternoon. The Red Sox hit 3 Home Runs in the win and put 3 Runs across in each of the 1st 3 Innings and 3 more in the 6th Inning. The Red Sox had 8 different hitters with multi-hit games. ATTENDANCE: 34,927.

Going With Gio: Lucas Giolito turned in his 4th consecutive quality outing and notched his 4th win of the season on Saturday. Giolito went 7 full innings for the 2nd time this season. He gave up 1 unearned run on 5 hits. He walked 1 and struck out 5. The Sox are now 7-4 in his 11 starts.

Sox at the Dish: Abraham Toro saw 10 pitches against Chris Bassitt in the 1st Inning and broke a 0-for-8 at the plate with a 2-out Single. After a Carlos Narvaez Single, Wilyer Abreu hit a 3-run Home Run to get the Sox on the board 1st.  It's Abreu's 14th of the season and 1st in the month of June. Roman Anthony collected his 1st multi-hit game in the Big Leagues and ended up with 3 Hits and 2 Doubles. Toro reached 4 times in the win with 2 hits and 2 walks. Trevor Story collected 2 hits and 2 RBIs.  Ceddanne Rafaela hit a 2-run homer in the 6th. It was his 9th of the season and 100th in Game #84 for the club. Romy Gonzalez capped his 3-hit game with a 2-run Home Run in the 7th.

#'s of the DAY: Abreu's Home Run was the 17th 3-run Home Run of the season for the Sox. The Red Sox collected (18) Hits in Saturday's win. It's just the 3rd time in their last 16 games where they collected 10 or more hits. The Sox are now 11-0 when scoring 10 or more runs in a game this season. The Red Sox are now 5-5 in the month of June when collected 5 or more runs.

Welcome Back: Chris Murphy made his season debut for the Sox and his 1st appearance in the Big Leagues since September 27, 2023.  Murphy was the 1st and only reliever out of the pen. He retired the side in order on 11 pitches in the 8th. He walked 2 in the 9th but left both runners stranded by getting the final 2 outs of the game.  Murphy was activated from the IL prior to Saturday's game and Luis Guerrero was placed on the IL with a right elbow strain.

What's On Tap?: The Blue Jays and Red Sox conclude their series at Fenway Sunday afternoon.  Walker Buehler is scheduled to go against LHP Eric Lauer in the finale. The Sox welcome in the Cincinnati Reds for a 3-game series that starts on Monday. Friday night started a stretch of playing 13 of 16 at Fenway, leading into the all-star break.
