The Red Sox (85-71) took the series opener over the Toronto Blue Jays with a 4-1 victory at Rogers Centre Tuesday night in Toronto.  The Sox are 3-1 on their final road trip of the season which has 2 games remaining in Toronto.  Justin Wilson, Garrett Whitlock, Justin Slaten and Aroldis Chapman combined to retire 13 hitters of the game.  Chapman worked a 1-2-3 9th for his 32nd Save.

Going with Gio: Lucas Giolito made the start in the series opener and ended up going 4.2 Innings. Giolito exited after giving up a 2-out walk in the 5th Inning.  The runner was eventually stranded by Justin Wilson. Giolito ended up giving up 1 run on 3 Hits. He walked 4, struck out 3 and threw 98 pitchers over his 4.2 Innings. It's the 2nd straight start that Giolito failed to get out of the 5th Inning.  Giolito is 0-2 with 2 no-decisions over his last 4 starts. The Sox improved to 18-8 in Giolito's 26 starts.

Sox at the Dish: The Sox got on the board 1st with a run in the 2nd Inning against Kevin Gausman. Masa Yoshida led off the inning with a Double and scored on a 2-out RBI Single from Nathaniel Lowe. The Sox pushed the go-ahead run across and went up 2-1 in the 6th and again it was Lowe, who knocked in a run with a Single. With 2-outs in the 6th, Carlos Narvaez knocked in a pair of runs with a 2-run Double to make it 4-1 and that chased Gausman from the game.  The big hit for Narvaez broke his 0-for-17 at the plate
