The Red Sox (27-28) avoided being shutout for the 1st time this season, but still fell, 5-1, to the Baltimore Orioles in the series finale at Fenway Park on Sunday. Abraham Toro knocked in Marcelo Mayer with an RBI Single in the 9th to get the Sox on the board. The Red Sox split the 4-game series with the Orioles and went 5-5 on their longest homestand of the season.  Jarren Duran went 4-for-5 with 4 Singles in the loss.

Buehler on the Bump: Walker Buehler made his 2nd start since coming off the IL in Sunday's finale. Buehler retired the side 1-2-3 on 12 pitches 3rd and then gave up a run and threw 29 pitches in the 4th Inning. Buehler gave up a solo Home Run to Dylan Carlson to start off the Orioles 5th Inning. It was Carlon's 1st Home Run of the season and gave Baltimore a 2-0 lead. Buehler went 5 Inning and left with the Red Sox trailing, 2-0.  #0's Final Line- 5.0 IP. 4 Hits, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 2 K.  Buehler departed with the Sox down, 2-0.  The Red Sox are now 6-2 in his 1st 8 starts.

1st Big League Knocks: Marcelo Mayer made his much-anticipated MLB debut in Game 2 of the Doubleheader on Saturday. He went 0-for-4 with 3 strikeouts.  Mayer collected his 1st Big League hit with a leadoff Single in the 2nd on Sunday and he ended up going 2-for-4 with a run scored. Mayer collected a Double in the 9th and scored on Toro's single.  Mayer has started at 3rd-base in each of his 1st 2 Big League games but has also moved defensively to 2nd and Shortstop in both games.

#'s of the Day: With Buehler going 5 Innings on Sunday, Red Sox starting pitchers have gone 7 Innings in an outing only 3 times in the last 22 games. Buehler allowed a Homer in his outing on Sunday, which ended a stretch of 7 straight starts without allowing a Home Run for a Sox starting pitchers.

What's On Tap?: The Red Sox open up a 6-game road trip with the 1st of 3 against the Milwaukee Brewers Monday afternoon at American Family Field. Garrett Crochet is slated to go against RHP Chad Patrick.  The Red Sox will have a scheduled off day Thursday and will start at 3-game series in Atlanta against the Braves on Friday.  Monday begins a stretch of playing 9 of 12 away from Fenway.
